How do you open up the sharpener to CLEAN out the shavings?

It is an easy thing, once you figure it out! :-) On the hinge side of the opener, there are arrows with the word "clean". From that side, you can gently pull the silver end of the opener away from the black hinged section. The shavings can easily disposed of from the silver section. Both the silver sections can be removed in the same manner, to empty shavings. Hope this helps!

What is the largest diameter pencil this can sharpen? Will it sharpen 15mm diameter Pencils? It doesn’t say on descriptions

hai quoc nguyen~ No, it will not sharpen 15mm pencils. This is for standard to medium size art pencils only. 15mm would be considered a jumbo size pencil. I hope this helps.
