Excellent and extremely clear. This book is particularly good if you are new to photography generally but will perhaps also introduce you to the Nikon interface if this manufacturer is new to you.I have used this book beginning photography for the first time and it couldn't be clearer to understand. It is well laid out broken out into Parts, with each Part having a set of related chapters. As a beginner, the author is great at reminding you quickly about the steps needed to change basic functions on the camera throughout the book even if she has covered the subject in dept in earlier chapters. This saves having to continually flick back to check/remember how to perform or change a particular function. This is extremely handy.The book is packed full of colourful illustrations, diagrams and snapshots of the camera menus so you can quickly follow the instructions. The instructions themselves are laid out clearly in bold, with normal text underneath explaining what each step does. I cannot fault this and highly recommend this book to beginners who are starting out on this entry level DSLR camera.

This is an guide for someone who want to get the best out of their Nikon D3300. I had a working knowledge of photography but the changes since cameras went digital had left me behind. This guide will make you feel confident with all aspects of the D3300, going into sufficient depth to satisfy more proficient users. It's suitable for beginners too, but beware the order in which some topics are dealt could lead to confusion (for example, Chapter 2 goes into great depth about flash uses, and a discussion of exposure basics, the relationship between shutter speed and aperture etc does not take place until Chapter 4) - also, since this Dummy manual is so comprehensive, the learning curve for a beginner will be steep.

Very useful. Fab to have the kindle edition as I can take it with me. The camera is basically a computer, and although the onboard help is good, I frequently find myself referring to this manual. It shows far more than the supplied manual. (Also, buy the remote control for the camera!!!)
