Casio Men's Watch W-96H-1AVES

I have bought over the years at least 3 of these from Amazon and a further 5 from Argos. A man once tried to sell me a knock of (fake/ counterfeit) version in Asia once. 1) Very tough watch. 2) I wear it 24/7 never off. 3) In the shower. 4) smashed against walls / tight spaces. 5) Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Eventually the strap or the face comes off after all the abuse I afford it. The price and quality keeps me coming back. It's also easy to read and tye back-light is top notch. I threw away two as it was cheaper to replace than to get a replacement strap!. 10 year battery! Why are you still reading? Buy one!

Aside from its looks, and it is by no means an unattractive watch, this is a revolutionary piece of perfection. An example of how, in the 21st century it is possible to combine form, function, art and technical excellence into an affordable package, one in which the vendor is honest in their pricing. One wonders how the materials have been sourced from their birth, from the metal in the circuitry dug up from mines, plastic casings chemically changes from oil, and the iron ore smelted to form the back casing, and then combined in intricate ways, shipped, VAT added, Amazon cut taken, for the price of perhaps an hour or two of your own labour. It is accurate, waterproof, low maintenance with a long battery life, easy to read, has a light and various other functions like stopwatch or dual time. This watch holds two fingers to those Swiss watch marketing departments and is a statement that you have a watch you need.

I bought this same watch many years ago from Amazon and just fancied a new one. I've always been impressed with casio's excellent value for money with watch's at this price. The casio W96h-1aves is light and comfortable on the wrist. One possible weakness with this watch is that the strap might break after a couple of years of constant use or the 10yr battery will outlast it. If this does happen it is no problem for me as the watch costs so little i'll just buy another one. The thing i like about this watch is that all the important stuff is all on one screen. At a quick glance you can see:Current time,Day of week,Date and year. I think the watch also has stopwatch and dual time. This watch also has a night light. Also the other thing i like about it is that it has that retro look about it.

Bought this watch in 2014, wear it all the time, including swimming, tried a smart watch in 2024, sick of charging it, so gone back to my Casio. Had it 11 years and battery still going strong, although had to change the strap several times,which are readily available on Amazon. If time is more important than steps this is great cheap watch.

Until I recently lost my one of these Casio watch (Guess it's a good thing I went for a cheap one), I greatly enjoyed it. It comes with a little manual that explains how to use the four buttons to navigate the various options which I found very helpful to understand and after going through it I didn't forget it or at least picked it back up quickly on the few occasions I actually used the different functions. The watch is made entirely from plastic and silicon which makes it very light and I found I quickly didn't feel it on my wrist which as someone who hates things jangling around while I'm doing things is very nice. As for the inscriptions on the surface. The "Illuminator" and "Water 50m resist" words may wear off slightly over a long time but all the other actually important things are wither engraved in or underneath the transparent screen plastic. The screen is reasonably big and easy to read in the sun and the little green light works well in the dark. I can't really say much for the water resistance as it's only cheap so I didn't trust it and tried not to get it wet anyway. Overall, a good, cheap, non garish watch for everyday use. p.s. I'm a guy with fairly slim wrists, this item is pointlessly gendered.

These are supposed to last about ten years until you need to change the battery. Ideal if that’s the case, especially for about £23. Light and comfy on the wrist, unassuming and not at all flash but I’m sure it will be ultra reliable.

Absolute excellent price/quality ratio. I got my first one back in 2011 while doing my MSc. in order to time my exams. But, of course, l started to use it also to time my runs, then my work out 'resting periods'... Years later we even used it as a 'kitchen stopwatch'... Until one day the inevitable happened: the piece of the wristband used to keep its excess length together broke (god knows the name of that little piece). The wristband was fine and still usable, but the excess length would stick off, somehow annoyingly. As a result, 8 years later l bought a 2nd unit, and l'll keep the first one (which works flawlessly) for the kitchen. The only minor 'cons' is the buttons have a bit of 'travel' to them. l mean, you have to press them quite a bit until you can operate them. It's not a big deal and you easily get used to them; they simply don't provide the best feedback. No big deal, really. Given the 15GBP l paid for it, its nice, clean design, proven durability and resistance (the 1st one fell an umpteen number of times on different surfaces), l dearly recommend this watch.

I bought this as it was on offer as a replacement for an old f-91w. I wear them all the time so they get battered about a fair bit; i do a lot of mechanical repairs in my spare time. While it's a decent enough watch, the case isn't as strong; after less than 6 months the case broke at the points where the strap mounts on. On the f-91w, the strap always fails before the case. Just thought i would point this out in case anyone is looking for a tough watch this is not the one. No doubt though it was abuse that broke it rather than fair play, but there is a design flaw which causes a weakness in this area.

Que puedo decir de Casio ?? Llevo utilizando relojes Casio más de 40 años. Y el resultado , en todos los modelos que he tenido y tengo, siempre ha sido el mismo : Magnífico. Económico, bonito diseño, cómodo, bien equipado para su precio , y siempre muy económicos y con una duración de batería muy larga. En Los comentarios de los clientes de Amazon muchos comentan que es pequeño, pero es que es así !!!! Pequeño, bonito, cómodo y muy, muy ligero. Es unisex, lo que pasa es que ahora se han puesto de moda los relojes de hombre con esferas muy grandes, pero las modas pasan, y rápido, pero Casio lleva desde que yo era un niño, y tengo más de 50 años, y creo que seguirá toda la vida por sus buenos precios, bonitos diseños y su practicidad. Es el primer Casio que tengo de este formato, hay muchas clases, y me ha encantado !!!! Es bonito y no pesa nada y muy cómodo, casi no lo notas, es casi el reloj perfecto. Lo recomiendo a todo el mundo, Casio nunca defrauda. Muy contento con esta compra. Un saludo.

Casio is very reliable and has the right price for the right quality but the digits are too small on this one.

Diese Uhr ist einfach klasse. Schlicht und funktional. Habe sie nach über 10 Jahren in einer Schublade gefunden (2014 bei Amazon gekauft ) und siehe da sie funktioniert immer noch (ohne dass ich je die Batterie gewechselt habe). Trage sie jetzt seit Monaten und ja, sie zeigt mir die Zeit, Datum, Stoppuhr, Licht. Und mehr brauche ich am Armband gerade nicht 🌟
