Godefroy Instant Eyebrow Tint - Medium Brown

I usually forget to review products because I think you should try them for a while before giving opinion, by which time I usually forget to do so. However, I am so impressed with this product that I have come back to do so! I have now used this product twice. It is brilliant.One application truly lasts the full 6 weeks (and more) as claimed on the pack. It is really easy to apply, takes a few minutes and the results are instantaneous. My eyebrows were getting grey (I'm 50) and I had to use a lot of eyebrow pencil to look 'normal'.I don't have to do that anymore, the colour is lovely and I now have colour 24/7 without a pencil. Use a little vaseline under your brows, mix up the powder from a capsule with developer in the cup provided with the stick provided and apply - 2 minutes later - outstanding results that lasts at least the 6 weeks as promised. It comes with 4 capsules of colour (for 4 different applications, 6 weeks or so apart) a bottle of developer, sticks to mix it up and to apply the mixture and little cup to mix up in. Follow instructions though because I understand it is dangerous if you get it in your eyes- so NO WAY is it suitable for lashes- eyebrows ONLY!!!!. But it is a thick paste - so unlikely to drip in my view and I have had no drips at all. If I had to be critical, I would say that there is 4 applications in a pack (so about 6 months supply) - and I only use half of the made up capsule in each case - shame they couldn't split the powder into smaller capsules then one pack would last a year! Maybe it is possible to use half a capsule - the developer that you mix it with is in a bigger bottle so you can use as much as you need - might try to use half a capsule next time! Having said that, it is likely that there is extra left over because when you take the mixture off after the 1-2 minutes developing time, if you are not happy with the result you can reapply the already mixed product for another minute or so until you are happy rather than have to make up a new supply. I haven't had to do this, which is why I have a lot of mixed product wasted, so to speak. In any case, this is great value for money, easy, not messy and a fraction of salon prices. Highly recommended.

This was very fiddly to mix, the bowl supplied is very small. Wear gloves, I didn’t and should have done, protect surrounding area of room you can get unexpected stains on sink etc, however they came off fairly easily. The capsule was tricky to open but persevere, mixing peroxide cream into powder dye was a little tricky again due to size of bowl supplied. I bought light brown but it is really dark brown. I have ash grey, brown hair and left cream on each eye brow separately for 1.30 minutes, fortunately my watch has a second hand. It is important to do one eyebrow at a time as this dye works very quickly and you could over tint very quickly. The dye coverage is excellent and the stick makes it easy to apply Cleaning small dish very tricky as easy to drop and stain whatever it lands on. Result, truly excellent, the result is as good as a professional tint without question. .

I found this extremely easy to use and it's nice everything is in this packet - you don't need to buy developer or anything separately. I'm a natural 'gold' blonde but my eyebrows are a mix between blonde, white blonde and light brown which makes them look really patchy. They are also naturally thin so I end up using an eyebrow pencil all the time, which gets boring and it's hard to find the right shade. Anyway - I used half of a capsule because I did not want too much product. Honestly half a capsule was way too much, I could probably literally use 1 drop of developer and a dash of powder and be fine. So the point is - depending on how much hair you have to cover, this can be a very economical kit giving many uses. As this is obviously for light brown and not blonde hair, I decided to leave it on for 1 minute/ slightly less, since I really just wanted it to darken up the very light hairs, but not make it look like brown was my natural colour and my hair was dyed! 1 minute was probably actually too long; next time I'm going to try 30-45 seconds and focus on the lighter hairs while trying to avoid the already brownish parts of my eyebrows. I am happy with the results, they look much stronger and more defined, but are a little darker than I hoped. I'd really recommend this product as it was so easy to use and clearly worked for me.

I bought this based on the very good reviews and I'm so glad I did. I was struggling with my eyebrows as the hair is very coarse and not just grey but white. For years I was having them professionally dyed at an excellent salon, but the white hair would not hold the dye for more than a day. I was spending £15 every three weeks for nothing - so I gave up. Went to non-permanent manual application every morning. There are some great products out there and for a year or so, I persevered. But I got fed up with waking up to almost completely white hair above my eyes, so I thought I'd try a home dye and plumped for this one based on the reviews. My first attempt, after a patch test last Wednesday, was Saturday morning. The speed of the application working on my brows was really surprising - I followed all the instructions and left the product on for 2 mins first, wiped off the excess and was shocked to see actual brown hair above my eyes! I needed a bit more depth, so I added a bit more and left for a further minute and then wiped it off again. The result is actual med-dark brows which have stayed. I have cleansed and washed and rubbed and scrubbed, morning and night, but they are still there. I add a bit of brow stuff each morning for definition, but that is all - no filling in and, even better, no white hair peeking through during the day. This definitely worked for me and I'm so glad. Four applications in one pack - more if you don't need as much or if you are more careful than me, but it did work - for me at least. For info: age 55, skin tone: olive, full head of good strong hair, some grey, no white. Eyebrows that, without help, made me look 80 years old, but are now finally acting their age!

I've used this product before, a few years ago, so I knew what to expect. However, I'm pretty sure it's become a little worse. This eyebrow tint claims to last SIX WEEKS. I remembered it as lasting more like three weeks, but this time, after ONE WEEK exactly I was filling my eyebrows in again to help with the fading, and after 14 days it was completely gone. Basically I think if you cleanse and tone daily... it just won't last anywhere near the time it claims. I could see it fading more with each wash, even if I tried to avoid 'washing my eyebrows'. I don't think it's a bad product though. I still very much appreciate having a week where I don't have to use an eyebrow palette on a daily basis! It goes on very well, it's straight-forward, quick and easy. I don't use the sticks supplied, I use a small eyeliner brush to apply the tint, and I also use eyebrow stencils as a guide so that I have no way of dying any surrounding skin, etc. The colour is okay, probably a little more dull than I expected but still plenty good enough. I just wish it would last even half the time it claims.

I bought this kit a few weeks ago and was slightly nervous about using it, (I have naturally dark blonde hair that I dyed a medium/warm brown and is turning blonde again) and a brow colour that was too dark would look appalling! The kit is really easy to use with everything you need inside, although I bought a separate lash tint brush to apply the dye, as I thought it would be easier (It was, so I also recommend doing that). The colour was a lovely brown that any medium-dark blonde to medium brown hair would look natural against and it lasted about 4 weeks (ish)...not 6 like the box claims. However, I literally applied the dye to one eyebrow and then reached for the cotton wool to take it off, to prevent the dye getting too dark. The dye must have literally been on there a minute and it was quite dark, so I'd suggest putting it on and taking it off rapidly and repeating for 20 seconds (or so) if you felt it wasn't quite dark enough (better too light than too dark, right?). I also found I had too much dye with one capsule. Using the stated amount in the instructions is probably a good idea for a first time user, however once you know the consistency that you're meant to have, I think it would be better just to measure out a small amount of the powder from the capsule (maybe half?) and add developing solution until it reaches the consistency. This way there is less waste (or have 4 friends come over to have their eyebrows done at the same time with one capsule) and you'll get far more tints out of the one box. I'm in love with this product and will definitely be buying it in the future!

Oh my God! I thought this would give me grey eyebrows. It gave me jet black eyebrows! (well one as thankfully I did not do the other one). Be warned this is a really dark colour. I have a professional consultation on Friday as to how we get rid of it. I am shocked just how dark this colour is. Dreadful.

My wife ordered this and thinks it does a better job than getting her eyebrows done professionally. Saves a lot of money too. For medium brown wipe it off fast as works quick.

I love it when a quality product lets you accomplish a salon service at home so you can save time and money. The instructions are simple to follow and the results last a long time (I go six or seven weeks between using it to fill in light and sparse areas). I recommend you only do one eyebrow at a time and set a timer so that you don't end up with a darker brow than you expect. If it's not dark enough after the first application, one capsule provides enough product to colour both brows twice so you get the colour depth just right. Remove stray hairs and shape your brows a bit before you start. I definitely use a Q-tip to put a little vaseline outline around my brows before I start, to avoid any staining outside of the brow line. I have blonde hair, and find that 1 minute and 20 seconds is perfect to get a nice contrast (but not too dark) for my brows. That said, I generally find that it looks a bit darker for the first 2 or 3 days, and then it's perfect for 6 or 7 weeks. The first time you tint your own brows I wouldn't recommend doing it on the same day as a special event (just in case it's a tiny bit darker than you like). But once you've done it a couple of times you will know exactly how much time you need to get the perfect colour depth for your preference. Interestingly enough, I only bought this the first time because I had a bad tinting experience at a salon and walked out looking like a toddler had taken a black magic marker to my face! Afterwards, when my husband saw me he sort of froze and then couldn't help himself from busting out laughing .... I knew it was bad too, but that really confirmed it! We both had a good laugh and then I went into hiding and lived in big sunglasses for a few days to hide my Magic Marker Brows, and I learned that valuable lesson that if you want something done right, sometimes it's best to just trust yourself to do it! Now I don't need to go back to a salon - this product is perfect! Try it and save yourself the time and expense of having your tinting done at a salon.
