Is it suitable for a 4 year old

Absolutely! I have 3 children ages 7,5 and 2.5. It was bought for the 2 year old and they all love it. I'll be buying more bits to build up the collection of kit.

How high is the main surface; ie as shown when being used as a desk.

It’s roughly 21 High I bought this For2. Yr old. Now his sister is 3. She uses it. We use top for doing work on eating. Etc Best Buy I made

Does this have a CE mark

Sorry I cannot remember it’s quite a while ago l purchased it and no longer have it

how many different things and what type of things can you make with this? im presuming there's instructions for the kids?

I bought this for my grandson who lives in Italy, so I haven't seen the different things you can make, however my daughter was pleased at the amount he was able to make and he is 5, 4 when he had it. He and his father are quite DIY minded and it is still going strong. An alround success.
