The camera arrived just with one battery. No case, no cards.

Q: Does this camcorder has a stills function, and if yes, what pixel size?

You can take stills in two ways. Assign a user button to take a still like a regular camera or stop the 4k playback at any single frame and extract a picture. In both cases they are 8 meg in size ,about 20 meg when extracted. Either way they are quite good after a little work, but they are already quite heavily sharpened JPEGs ,so some care is needed not to crush the detail.
