Can’t go wrong with a zippo lighter.Looks stunning and does its job.

Well, where do I start? This is a fantastic lighter! When I first removed the top of the box and saw it I instantly knew it was made to a high quality. In case you didn't know there is a specific code on the bottom, a letter and a number...The number engraved on mine was 12, this means the year (2012), earlier products may have roman numerals engraved. And on the left of the 'Zippo' engraving a letter being A on mine, this means it was made in January, EG. A = January B = February C = March and so on up to L being December. But anyway back to the product itself, as I said it is made to a very high quality and very pleased in the way it is presented, only when seen in person you will realize why it was £38, this is the price at my local lighter dealers. In the Zippo case it's held nicely by a velvet casing. It flips open nicely and with ease but not so much that it will randomly pop open, as expected the lighter contains no fluid in it at all however it's very cheap to pick up (around £2.50 for 125ml). Zippo / Jack Daniel's have done very well in making sure you know how to take care of it, when the main part of the Zippo is removed from the casing and you see the refill foam it gives you directions on the foam itself on how to refill. Also included in the box is a small fold out leaflet on how to replace parts for example the wick, flint and refilling. This will be a very good gift for a friend and I believe he will love it just as much as I do...If you are hesitating on buying this product then at such a low price I say just do it!Amazing delivery arrived 2/3 days earlier than expected delivery.Thanks for such a high quality product!Chris.

Once upon a time, I used to own a 'Zippo' lighter. Reliable, providing you had flints and petrol. I lost it many, many years ago. I don't know why I scoured available models at that time but I did; perhaps I was fed up with 'disposable gas lighters'.I once had a keyring bought for me (actually his assistant bought it for me), which came attached to a bottle of 'Jack Daniels'. I have kept that keyring as a 'keepsake' for over thirty years and still it holds my house keys. The 'Zippo' lighter was the perfect mate.So long as you keep it fed with wicks and flints and fuel, it will last forever.

Now myself i was brand new to the concept of zippo lighters and how they worked so when i first got it i looked at it and went errr ok how do you but gas in it and why is there a load of cotton inside it, none the less youtube was on hand to help to show me how to do it and low and behold i had to keep the cotton in there and soak it with lighter fluid (yes i did feel a bit daft) but if im honest zippo didnt help by not placing any instructions at (other than cleaning) with the product.But i do have to be fair it is very nice looking lighter not heavy and lights very easily and as it says windproof which wen trying to have a smoke when winds are up is useful.If like me you are brand new to this concept of lighter on recieving the product or b4 you have to go and buy some lighter fluid (any brand will do) then you take the middle part out and you will have a little thing that says lift pull the large side up and then soak the cotton with fluid once done place the little cover back over re-insert the middle part back into the case and lightly wet the fabric like thing poking out (i was unsure what to call it)All in all fantastic product happily buy it again

Gave 1 star intuitively as it didn't work , but I was daft enough to not to put any fuel in it. Ordered replacement and received it extra fast. I would be keeping both as they are perfectly fine.

Had this lighter for 6 months, use it daily. Works great, sturdy. However, gave it 4 stars instead of 5 as after 6 months the JD logo is all gone.
