Bosch Serie 4 MUM59340GB 3.9 Litre 1000W Stand Mixer - Anthracite

I have a very small kitchen, literally too small to swing a cat. I love baking and cooking and was looking for a new stand mixer, I have a Kenwood Chef which is about 15 years old and still works perfectly but it lives in the garage as it is much too big and heavy for my kitchen, and being an OAP I can’t be lugging it in and out of the garage everytime I want to bake, so consequently I have done very little baking over the last four or five years.I did lots of research and found the Bosch Mum5 with a 1000w motor which is strong enough to do what I want and compact enough to sit permanently on my counter top (where it will get used!!) The mixer is a stylish anthrocite and silver colour and comes with a stainless steel 3.9lt bowl. There is a zipper bag which contains a whisk, a dough hook and a beater for cake batter. It also comes with a plastic splatter lid, which is a bonus as it stops the flour or icing sugar from flying everywhere. There is a citrus juicer, a mincer, a grater attachment with 3 different blades and a liquidiser. I was lucky enough to get it during the Black Friday week and it was quite a bit cheaper than it is currently being sold for which was a bonus.I bought an additional white plastic bowl as I find it is sometimes handy to have a second bowl on hand, especially if you are making more than 1 cake at a time. I also bought the accessory set for chopping nuts, herbs etc which I have found to be really good.I have used my mixer to make various biscuits and cakes in the month I have had it and found that it is a good solid machine. It iappears to be well made and looks really good, taking up very little space on the counter top. I have not had my mixer for long, but I am very pleased with the performance so far and it appears to be a good quality machine which I will hopefully be using for years to come. I have just ordered the dust cover to protect my mixer when not in use, not that it is going to spend too much time covered up :)I will update my review in a couple of months after I have had more use out of it, but so far I am very happy with my mixer and the attachments I bought.

Well I'm very impressed and so many attachments. The mixer works well and I like the way the mixer blade moves around the bowl so the contents is well mixed rather than just round in a circle like similar models. The moving arm is excellent allowing you to use it for various attachments. The blender attachment is good, it comes with the plastic jug and blades cut and mix well.

Really like using my Mixer, juicer, since purchase have bought oranges and juiced them down so much fresher and nicer, meat grinder works well (you dont quite mince all so better with larger qtys). Blender works well, grating function havent used yet, but the star of this show for me is the mixer, cakes, doughs, etc spot on works brilliantly!Its not a pro but like a lot of Bosch items is good overall value for money!Well done Bosch!

My first posting was not complimentary, a vital component sheered on first use. There was a delay with the original replacement however, it is worth the wait. I have for many years wanted to own the very best machine that I could afford. The Bosch MUM59340GB is amazing it every aspect. It quietly and efficiently does all that is required. The power is obvious, omitting no more than a gentle hum whilst whizzing through tasks.I am looking forward to playing, I mean using it for many years.Amazon chat has to be thanked for taking my concerns seriously and ensuring that the second replacement arrived on time.I wanted to say that I loved it after spending so much money, however, the first time used one of the main components snapped which means I cannot use the shredder attachment. I do not want to return it but will need a replacement part so have no other option. very disappointed. I will accept a replacement and hope that the same thing does not happen again. If all goes well with the replacement, I will re-post more favourable comments or damn it for forever. Watch this space.

Stop working after 2 days. Bosch not interested even though that is the recommended advice on the return page.One plastic part started disintegrating in this short time. Flashing light but no information as to what to do. Looks and feels cheap. Ironically the citrus press worked really well, but only the once.

This unit was very complete set of attachments, and allows you to perform many preparation tasks - no need for multiple units with attachments.

Nice compact and sleek design. Have always wanted one but did not want to take up much space on my worktop and this Bosch fit nicely in a small space on the worktop.Have used it more than anticipated and even ordered the pasta attachment recently as my daughter has also got excited about using it. The fact it can stay out also means we are more inclined to use it.
