The reason for the title is to help you resolve a potential problem you may have.My graphics card in my HP laptop supports up to 4K resolution. The TV I am connecting to also supports up to 4K (Samsung 6 series smart tv)..Windows 10 happily recongises the TV when I plug in this adaptor and connect the HDMI cable. Upon first connection Windows 10 decided that the optimal resolution for the display is therefore 4K.However, this adaptor only supports resolutions of up to HD (1920x1080) so at first I just got a "no signal" warning on the TV.The solution is to bury into the advanced display adaptor settings from the Windows 10 control panel and manually set the resolution to one that is supported by the adaptor , the graphics card and the TV. In my case I found that setting the resolution to 1920x1080 at 60p Hz gives me a superb HD picture in full screen and equally as good a picture as my HD satellite decoder so I am more than happy with it.If you really want 4K pictures and both your TV and graphics card support it then you will need an adaptor and HDMI cable that support it. In my case I'm quite happy with the picture I get.Hope this helps!

I use this with a Dell dock and convert one of the ports to HDMI for a monitor. It has been around 2.5 years of usage and it does still work. The dock is used 10-12 hours a day due to WFH and Covid and it works reliably.Every so often however from a sleeping monitor the screen will flash, I could be the monitor or it could be the device. My guess is the device as turning the power off on the monitor makes no difference however unplugging the hdmi does. Small niggle, no doubt may get worse but at the time, this offered the best value for money. Adaptors will always have these sort's off issues and it does not happen to often, could just be a bad unit.

Arrived on time and in a small self sealable envelope.The item is of a solid feel, and locks into place with a reassuring click.Needless to say it worked perfectly.As for the item the plastic body length is 5.8 cm with a width of 2.2cm and depth of approx 1cm and at the connector end 1.4cm. So if you buying this to plug into the back of your pc it will stick out quite away before you plug your HDMI Lead. (all sizes are approx)Only other point to note the picture on Amazon shows rounded edge’s the unit I received is very square with 90 degree edges and also as noted not an even depth. So do not go by the picture.Would I recommend the unit, yes solid feel and worked perfectly.

We needed to demonstrate an application running on a Thin Client on our large display monitor in the Board Room. The TC has only DisplayPort connections and the monitor HDMI with a cable already hard wired between the Board Table and the Monitor. The REALMAX® DisplayPort DP Male To HDMI Female Adapter was the perfect solution. It is compact and slotted easily into the DisplayPort port on the TC. The cable on the Board Room Table plugged straight into the female HDMI port on the adapter and the image appeared immediately on the monitor, no software to lead, not tweaking or fiddling around. Perfect Job.As for the supplier, the price was right and the unit arrived on time as promised. Happy to recommend both the product and the supplier.

Not joking, the box end seems to be held together with clingfilm. The plug end isnt held together by ANYTHING. Plugging the converter into the DP on the graphics card caused the plastic around it to just drop off! On removing my mouse some days later the cable was moved a little as happens and the monitor whent fuzzy. Unlugged the converter only to find I hadnt HALF OF IT WAS STILL IN MY VERY EXPENSIVE GRAPHICS CARD. Had to remove the male metal plug from my graphics card with pliers! This is just junk plastic and not worth the risk!

It was delivered within the time frame expected and the packaging kept it safe on its journey.I'm using it to connect my PC to my TV in the living room. I bought a long HDMI cable for the TV and had no spare HDMI slots on my PC to plug it into, so I simply plugged this little device into the spare DP slot on my pc, then plugged the HDMI into the back of it and viola. The picture is clear, the audio is clear, the reasons for this 5 star review are clear.

I bought this adapter when I upgraded my graphics card and needed an extra HDMI display port for my oculus rift. Does exactly what it says - works perfectly with no issues. The connectors themselves are very solid and holds the cable in tightly without need for screws.The delivery time was bang on with the estimated delivery date and the item arrived well packaged and in perfect condition.Would recommend to anyone who needs a display port to HDMI connector at a reasonable price.
