My favourite 2015 gadget!
I. Love. This. Watch. First things first, I used to have a Microsoft band. It was a very productive tool, tracking my exercise, sleep patterns, etc. but it had so many issues. It wasn't pretty to look at, it was uncomfortable, I had to wear it on the inside of my wrist it just wasn't ideal. This watch, however, eliminates that and gives me nearly all of the things I loved about the Microsoft band. The watch face, first of all is very pretty to look at. And Samsung gives you a host of options to customize the watch face as you wish. Prefer traditional or digital? Samsung has you covered for both. The gestures to activate the watch face is a nice touch too. Simply raise your arm, the screen will turn on. Drop your arm again, and the screen turns itself off thus saving battery life. This leads me nicely onto my next point, which is that the battery isn't too shabby neither. I have never run out of charge on this, and I've have used it 48 hours consecutively which is nice for a watch which only needs to be on charge for 2 hours or so! The watch charges wirelessly with a stand which is provided which is quite small, and stands nicely on any table top. The tracking features this provides are nifty too. You can keep track of your water intake and caffeine intake swiftly, which will automatically sync to the S-Health app. It also auto-tracks your exercise such as walks, runs, cycles etc. and soon to be released in a new OS update, it will start to track sleep which is also very nifty. Aside from the health tracking features, you can also keep track of your incoming texts, e-mails, phonecalls, facebook messages, skype messages, notifications etc. as they come in! All in all, this is a watch. And sure, you can spend the money buying a 'premium' watch, but you will not have such a great time with any traditional 'premium' watch than you will with this.

A comfortable, attractive smart watch, plenty of capability at a fair price.
I was lucky enough to receive this Gear S2 watch as a birthday present from my wife and I am delighted with it. I've been thinking of getting a smart watch for quite a while now and the Samsung seemed a natural fit as I have a Galaxy Note (3) phone. I've recently moved jobs and am in a lot more meetings so a watch that would allow me to easily see notifcations etc without reaching for the phone was appealing and I decided this would be the ideal time. The watch itself looks lovely, is a good size for me (my wrists are average sized and it feels a good fit). I love the swappable straps, a great idea. Set-up was simple following on screen prompts on the watch and via the Gear app on the phone. Charging the phone is a doddle by simply placing the phone on the charger. I find it very easy to use, you can swap between apps by turning the bezel around the watch face and you can easily add additional app screens. The watch face is customizable and there are a huge number of faces available to purchase via the app (and some nice freebies including classic watch looks that I really like). Overall I'm very pleased with this. It isn't quite as powerful as the new S3 and doesn't have GPS but you are getting a very nice watch at nearly half the price at the moment. Comfortable, looks lovely and very functional, a good purchase.

Great watch let down by battery life.
A very good and competent smartwatch, let down badly by the battery life. Loads of options available on the gear s2 to keep you contented for some time. Lack of GPS let's it down also, meaning you have to carry your phone around too. Good link up with s health app and the gear app on my Samsung s7 edge. Heart rate monitor seems pretty decent too and tracks your heart rate throughout the day and night. Linked with some decent sleep apps, the gear s2 monitors your sleep levels which is good too. Love the Bezel which turns and goes through the menu options, this is one of the nicest touches I feel. The watch is pretty small on the wrist but the amoled screen is probably the best part of the watch, very crisp clear images on the phone. The downside of having such a good screen, obviously is the battery life. It's a 50/50 call on whether you want a great screen but have to charge your watch every night or go for a lesser screen and charge your watch only every week. Along with more improved fitness tech on a watch, This is why I have purchased the Garmin Vivoactive HR smartwatch. In my opinion, if you are fitness based and want stats galore on how you do, including a GPS built in to the watch, then I'd go for the garmin vivoactive hr. If you are happy with just a smartwatch and great screen and don't mind charging the watch daily, then the gear s2 is the best of the Android smartwatch es.

It's Alright
Well it tells the time, that's a good start with a watch... It's got some useful things as well like a calculator, calendar, contacts, text messages, S voice... to be honest most of the apps for the watch can be used on your phone other than the heartbeat monitor, I've been able to wear the watch in the shower without it breaking so that's a positive. I wish there was more people making apps however, there is limited control over your phone and although their is text messaging it's really awkward to text I had to buy an app called "Agile Keyboard" it's a qwerty keyboard for the watch (it's only £1.11) so far it's the only useful app I've found other than the watch skins, most of the apps seem really bad like 'flashlight apps' that literally just show a white screen. This watch is mostly useful when you don't have your phone at arms reach, I find it much faster to reach into my pocket to text rather than attempting to use the watch but having a Calendar on my wrist on the home page with only having to turn a bezel is a nice touch I also like the fact that the watch is so small from previous experiences with smart watches I usually find them far too big
