Perfect: streamlined, simple, and does exactly what it says on the tin!
This was exactly what I wanted: streamlined, can be attached underneath the upper cabinets, easy to change the rolls (but without being so easy that the rolls slide off when you try to use it), and easy to grab and tear off the paper.N.B. if you're looking for something that you can use one-handed (ie just grab a sheet and rip), then this will NOT work for you and you will end up frustrated. If you try, either the whole roll will come flying off the holder, or the roll will spin madly, unravelling as it goes. This is a hold (with one hand) and tear (with the other hand) type.I love that because it's so minimal, when it's mounted under the cabinets, it almost disappears from view, instead of calling attention to itself.I did decide to use slightly longer and sturdier screws than it came with, and since the way I installed it meant they wouldn't be on view, it didn't matter that I didn't use the little decorative covers. It's not huge and heavy so I'm sure the thin-ish wire could probably be bent out of shape or even broken with enough force, but I haven't had a problem with it in normal use, and it's plenty sturdy enough to carry a roll of kitchen towel and let me tear off a sheet without feeling like it's going to break. Also, the rolls we buy from our grocery store fit perfectly fine - just long enough + a little give so it can spin easily. (I did measure a roll before buying the holder, just to make sure).I admit it was extremely awkward to install, mainly due to mounting it on the bottom of a wall cabinet, so that involved having to reach underneath and working sort of upside-down, but this isn't their fault: had I mounted it on a wall, it would have been easy. I didn't look up any online instructions - just measured the gap for where the screws should go, put marks up and then drilled. It's clever that it can be mounted on a wall, either horizontally or vertically too. It's a great, simple design that does just what I wanted, without fuss and I would definitely buy one again.

Effective but a little expensive. Good for domestic kitchen towel rolls.
Effective but a little expensive. This is after all a piece of bent stainless steel rod. It will take UK domestic kitchen towel rolls up to 235 mm long and certainly no more than 85 mm radius. It will take Waitrose essential extra length rolls which are 221 long and 75 mm radius which are pretty chunky. The fixing screws are cheap mirror countersunk screws, mirror fitting because they have a plastic cap that screws on to the top of the fixing screws to make them look better. I had to clean out the screw slot with a file. The screws are sufficiently short that they wont go all the way through a kitchen cabinet side wall, which is good. (UK standard chipboard construction). Having already put mine up I wonder if it wouldn't have been better to substitute my own round headed or pan headed screws of the same length but a larger head.

Very good despite a slight droop
It retains the towel to enable easy tear-off, yet is easy to load up with the towel roll; just squash it a little. The supplied screws were the correct length for our 18mm thick cabinet but the covers are not stainless; therefore expect rust eventually in a steamy kitchen environment. The weld is messy but is hidden from view when covered by the roll so no problem. It droops slight to the left and it is too springy to correct this in situ. The right hand is not square to the upper horizontal and It needs removal and placing in a vice and persuading to be level with a hammer and blocks. Suggest buyers check and correct this is all square prior to installation. These are only minor criticisms and I would buy this item again.

Fits Plenty Original
Seems okay. I'm here, basically, to share a photograph that might make the process (of deciding whether this kitchen roll holder will fit a particular brand of kitchen roll) a bit easier. It was a surprisingly complicated operation for me. The dimensions of the Plew Plew kitchen roll holder are easy enough to find out. The dimensions of a particular brand of kitchen roll - not so. So - what fits? This fits. The tin of beans is for scale.Clearly I have not installed the Plew Plew yet. I might be able to come back and give it five stars once it's operational - but I'm satisfied that I won't have to buy bespoke mini kitchen rolls for it!

Clear your work surface
Just received my Kitchen roll holder and installed it. It's basic but is a decent bit of kit, at a reasonable price and has everything needed to install it, albeit on a tiled or solid brick wall. The screw covers are a bit of a fiddle to screw into the screw head once the screws are installed, especially if under the overhead cupboards, also as someone pointed out the slots in the screws are not very deep and can be easily chewed if you are not careful.Try yourscrewdriver for fit in the slot first. They screw into a 15 mm thick overhead cupboard base no problem, just make sure you drill the correct size and depth of pilot holes first. I used a 2 mm drill. The holder will only take a maximum of a 9 1/4" or 235 mm long kitchen roll. The screw holes being well spaced apart puts less stress on the fixings. So, good all round.

Excellent purchase
I bought this kitchen roll holder as a replacement for an aged, broken plastic under counter dispenser. While we wait to save up to replace the kitchen, we wanted a modern design, but one that would still fit with the current (very dated) style of the kitchen. I was concerned that the roll would sit 'loosely' in the holder, allowing our cats/teenagers to pull reams from the roll. We buy different varieties of kitchen roll, both known brands and supermarket own brands and they all fit well in the holder, snugly to not allow too much to be pulled out, but not loose enough that the roll can turn on the holder. The metal feels sturdy, and it would take a huge amount of deliberate effort to bend this out of shape. It was very easy to install, with just two screws (not included) needed to fix into the underneath of the cupboard. Very happy with this product, the quality, price and style are fantastic.
