Great mini tank heater but size shown on Amazon data is crap.
I have had one of these guys for 5 years running in a 9lt AquaGro mini aquarium without any issues. Great fit into the pump compartment and has been faultless until 2 weeks ago when the temp fell to around 19deg where it had been up to 25. LED light also not working. So went looking for exactly the same heater thro Amazon, with the ides if it works grab it again. So found the same 10w Marina heater but looking at the product size in the spec, it was not the same to fit my tank. But the look, design, and size compared to its mains plug look right, so ordered it on chance. So it arrived and was exactly the same and the dims were totally different to those shown on this Amazon page. It's actual size is 110mm long x 25mm wide side to side x 15mm from front LED face to back face.So temp in the tank is back up to 25deg, and the on/off LED light is a great help to check out if it is on or off with the operation and its temp.Very happy and totally impressed with this mini heater.

Can't fault these heater. Using them for years!
I've bought the C10 and C25 several times and recommended Marina Compact Heaters to over a dozen friends and family and none have failed me or them... I wholeheartedly recommend these heaters for your aquarium.I've had several tanks in the past and currently have 2. I've used a number of heaters including top branded ones from the likes of Interpet. Nothing beats branded and established manufacturers but from my experience, glass heaters are very finicky. These aquarium heaters are very compact, unobtrusive and ideal for small (aka nano) tanks. I'm a big fan of nano tanks and have helped my family and some friends get theirs started and when it comes to heaters, I ALWAYS make sure it's one of these.RULE OF THUMB for which size to buy... For every litre of water you'll want 1 watt of heating. So if you have a 10L tank, you'll want at least a 10 watt heater. There's no issue if you buy a more powerful heater (like the 17 of 25 watt) for a 10L tank but if you get an underpowered heater (e.g. 10 watt heater for a 25L tank) then you'll likely find that the heater stays on all the time and struggles to get the temperature up to 26 degrees. Worse still, the heater is likely to fail quickly as it's working hard for long periods which is something it's not designed to do.Some people in the reviews are complaining their tanks aren't getting heated up. Although it's possible there are faulty units, from my experience some people tend to buy a lower wattage heater than is recommended just to save £1-£3. Also, a lot of people don't know where the most effective place to put the heater is and make common mistakes... An aquarium heater should be placed near where there is a flow of water such as the filter. In some tanks, like the Marina 360, you can place the heater inside the filter compartment. Placing the heater like this ensures the heat is spread across the tank and not just a small corner of the tank.I hope you found my review and advice helpful. I know paying nearly twice as much for a heater may seem silly but you WILL save money in the long run and these heaters really are worth it for both the quality as well as aesthetics. All the best with your aquariums.

Doesnt work
Bought this along with the marina 360 as a fry tank when one of the fish I brought home unexpectedly gave birth. I had the tank set up for about a week until I was able to reintroduce them back into my main tank before I gave them away. I now, a couple of months later, have set up the tank and discover that the heater just isn't working. I have tried just suctioning it to the side of the tank so I can see it and ensure it is completely submerged but the red light very rarely goes on and the tank is at room temperature (I have used 3 thermometers to test this). It is definitely not worth the money considering you cannot change its temperature (preset at 26 degrees) and it can't even keep it above 22 degrees anyway. No option to leave seller feedback or report this to the seller, which is very frustrating.

Heater stopped suddenly the first day
This is the second heater ( the first is still going ok) for anew marina 360 fish tank. After one day the fuse gave up and there was no heating of the water. Thankfully I noted it in time to save my tropical fish from sudden death. I wonder why this fuse in a brand new equipment gave up immediately. I changed it to a new fuse and it works alright now. Still I wonder...and hope it will not happen again.

Perfect size for my starter aquarium
Perfect size for my starter aquarium. No issues thus far. Fish seem happy and water temperature is in range required for keeping tetra fishes (tested with a digital thermometer). Only downside is the price I paid. This can be found cheaper web (do a search on google) but as a prime member I got this item delivered free the next day.

Really good little heater for the Marina 360 (small) 10 litre tank.
Really good little heater, have it in the Marina 360 (small) 10 litre tank. Water temp was pretty low at 17 C, bit on the cool side for the Danio's we have in there. Added the heater and having run continually for a day the temp rose to 23 C - finally turning off. It maintains a constant 22 - 23 C only turning on when needed. The marina 360 tank is about as small as it gets at 10 litres but the heater is very compact and cannot be seen at the back of the tank near the filter. Very impressed with this item.

Waste of money :(
I have a Marina 360 tank and I bought this heater for my shrimp. The only good thing about this heater is the size. It is small and fit behind the filter nicely. However, if you want a stable tropical temperature it is better to get a temperature adjustable heater as this one is very bad for maintaining a stable temperature. It largely depends on the room temperature!! When my room temperature is about 18C, it only gets to about 22C. When I open my radiator and my room temperature is about 20C, it will then goes to 24-25C.My shrimps are fine as they can tolerate a range of temperature but if you wants to keep tropical fish and wants a stable temperature, I do not recommend this.Plus, it is overly priced....
