Good, versatile eyepiece
The eyepiece is quite versatile and should be excellent for bird watching. (I haven't had a chance to test it in the field yet because of poor weather.) The image is sharp from edge to edge. The zoom is smooth and the construction appears to be excellent.

Great zoom eyepiece!
Perfect match for my Pentax spotting scope. The optics are excellent, great clarity. I use it for shooting but also for star gazing at night in lieu of a telescope. Images are excellent from 20 to 60x, from 50 yards out to 300 yards at the range. Great value for the money and fantastic warranty from the description and research I've done.

Outstanding with a major flaw
Pentax 20x60 Zoom Eyepiece has outstanding optics allowing for low light and difficult (smoke for forest fires) conditions. Was able to pick out fine details in low light at great distances. Smoke obscured some viewing during testing. The biggest problem with this eye piece is eye relief which was minimal at low power and non existent at high power. No chance of wearing glasses while using this item. This is an absolute killer for me.
