A very handy device to have in the garage.
So after not using one of cars for a week the battery was flat, rather than calling someone out to tell me I needed a new battery I decided to give this a try. It's simple enough to use and even if you loose (throw away) the instruction there is a label on the side of the charger that gives you direction. After about three hours on fast charge the car started first time and has been fine ever since. It's quite handy that it's an all in one charger and that all of the leads can be packed away at the sides, seems to be of a good quality build that will last some years. As a warning do not let this get too hot as the charger does tend to heat up a fair bit on its own.I hope you've found this review useful. If so, please click the "Yes" button below this review. If you have any further questions about the product, or any other comments, please add them below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Alternatively, make use of the "Ask a question" function on the listing, you're likely to get several responses from both the supplier and other customers.

Good Standard battery charger
Not much to say about a battery charger that does what it says on the tin. What I like is that the mains cable and battery connectors are housed in 'pockets' at both ends of the charger. Neither leads are very long, but are sufficient to do the job intended. The charger has a sturdy handle at the top, which allows for easy carrying. The charger has two switches, one of which can be set to 'slow' or 'fast' charge rate (equivalent to normal or boost charging. The second switch changes the LED display to show either voltage or current.Have only used this a couple of times to charge an older battery on 'fast' charge, which gave it a few days of life in a battery that would only just start the car before charging. also used on a new battery in 'slow' charge, to ensure the battery was up to full charge before replacing the old battery. Am happy that this will do the job, and will last for many years.

Great but use slow charge option
My Mercedes battery was totally flat after weeks standing idle. I attached the terminals and switched on at the mains. Initially I selected the fast charge option and the charger indicated that the battery was fully charged. Obviously not true as I couldn’t even open the car door without the mechanical key.So I thought it was faulty. But then I turned it off, selected the slow charge option, and then switched it back on. Then it indicated via the ‘charging indicator’ that the battery was charging so I hoped for the best.It took around 2-3 days to charge. But to work out the charge time, take the Ah rating of your battery (95 Ah in my case) and divide by the Amps charging rate shown on the charger which averaged around 2 Amps per hour. Hence an estimate of 47.5 hours to charge which turned out to be about right. Eventually, the battery was fully charged and I’ve had no problems since. Now I charge it up every weekend as the car remains idle most of the time.Easy to use item but would be better if you didn’t have to select slow or fast charge as I almost returned it. Apart from that I’m very happy with my purchase as it did the job and saved me the cost of a new battery.

Well constructed, good performance and features
Having been unable to drive for 3 months over the winter (injury) it was probably expected that the batteries on our two cars would need a boost or even a full charge (wife only drives 10 miles a week for shopping) I chose the Ring RCB212 battery charger because of its capacity and features. I have had a portable power boost units before and found it to be totally useless after the first couple of charges so wanted something that could do the job properly. On the scale of battery chargers this model, although slightly more expensive appears to be in the higher league for construction, performance and features. Cables are secured and neatley fold away and the digital displays give a good indication of charge (I can't comment on their accuracy) and are useful.I've used the chargers on both batteries which were chared fully in a few hours. Would fully recommend this charger to anyone requiring a larger output for their car battery or even a a small one.

Good value, good quality and does the job.
This charger is the basic model from Ring but that has not detractged from the usual quality you get from this company. Follow the instructions for connection sequence. This is important for safety reasons and avoiding large sparks. I used it initially to bring a dead battery back to life that was inadvertently discharged by leaving the key in the ignition of my Astra. Took overnight to fully charge the battery. I now top up every weekend and it only takes 20 minutes or so to show the full charge green LED This may take longer in winter when the car uses more electricity for lights heated, windscreens etc . There is a fail safe indicator to ensure correct polarity has been connected. The Astra battery is in the boot almost under the seat and is not easily accessible. Vauxhall have provided a positive connection point under a flip-up cover on top of the fuse box in the engine compartment with the negative connection being an obvious protruding stud in the bulkhead near the fuse box. I use slow charge for top ups and the fast charge for a major dischrge correction. I use a multimeter to check the level of charge before and after charging. A full charge is usually around 14 volts for the 12 volt cicrcuit. A very handy built-in pocket at each side of the charger to store mains lead and battery connectors is a neat touch. The first time I used it the charger got quite hot so I kept an eye on it but during subsequent charges it barely gets warm. I have no hesitation in recommending this piece of kit.

It exploded
It blew up, very dangerous and lucky it wasn't anywhere near the vehicle. It did work for a few goes, contacting Amazon for a return.
