DreamGenii Maternity Support Pillow ( White )

I ordered this when I was about 12 weeks pregnant and was starting to get uncomfortable in bed - having been a front sleeper up until that point, side sleeping was taking some getting used to, plus I was feeling very bloated and tender which made getting comfortable difficult. At first, I wasn't particularly impressed and found it difficult to adjust to sleeping wrapped around this pillow. I also found that whenever I rolled over in the night I got tangled and it woke me up! However, the longer I have persevered with it and the further I have got into my pregnancy (I'm currently 31 weeks) this has been an absolute dream. I've suffered bouts of back and hip pain during the day and evening, and have found that this pillow between my legs seems to massively alleviate the discomfort. Because the bit of the pillow which lays under your back is empty, I can snuggle one end of the pillow under the small of my back and the other under my bump and between my knees and adjust it to whatever angle is most comfortable that night. My husband has a bad back and he often steals the end of the pillow that is poking out from between my knees to put between his legs and announced the other day that he finds it really comfortable too! I've not used it for nursing yet, but am intending to breastfeed and think that this will be handy then too.For comparison, I do have a cheap and cheerful V pillow too which is good for using in the small of my back whilst sitting on the sofa in an evening (and even then, only because I'm too lazy to move my dream genii from the bedroom and back every day!) but as it's bulky all the way through I don't find it adjusts very well to a sleeping position.The cover on the DreamGenii is easy to wash and replace, so it just goes in with my bedding and I've never had to iron it. Overall, I'd say it was a good investment and worth the money for a good night's sleep!Worth noting as well, for anyone who is suffering back pain, I have found that sleeping wrapped around this with a wheat bag sat on or tucked into the back pillow support (not too hot) provides great relief and I now sleep like a baby. And we all know I need to catch those zzz whilst I can!!

I purchased this maternity support pillow a year ago during pregnancy. It provided much comfort for the bump, kept me in a side sleeping position and relieved hip pain. It's so comfortable in a side sleeping position that I'm still using it to date for knee/hip support. Suitable for tall mums. I have used the pillow for breastfeeding, but it could be a bit thicker for this purpose when you're a bit taller, i.e. an additional small pillow is required. It is also useful to create a snug base in combination with a blanket for a small baby to lie on during the day and watch the world go by. Pillow comes in a plastic zip bag with handle, so it's easy to store, to take to hospital and on holidays. A white pillow case was included, but purchase of additional pillow cases is recommendable, especially when using it as a nursing pillow. Pillow is not machine washable.

I am very pleased with my DreamGenii pillow. I am now 8 months pregnant and sleeping comfortably / coping with back pain had become an issue for me. I found sleeping with a normal pillow under my bump and one in-between my legs went some way towards making me more comfortable but it made me very hot and wasn't that practical.I like the support around my bump that this pillow provides and I find the back support great for wedging me into position although I am quite slight so I'm not sure how a curvier lady would get on with it. In terms of length, I'm about 5ft5 and although the length of this pillow does support my legs when they are tucked up slightly it would be better if it was slightly longer so that my ankles are supported if I stretch right out.The idea with this pillow is to encourage you to sleep on your left hand side as it is the optimum position for the baby etc, however if you do need to roll over in the night the best way I have found to cope is to roll and take the pillow with you. This renders the back support useless, but you do still get the bump and leg support.I would say like all maternity products the price is quite high for what it is, however it has made a difference for me and I found amazon to be the most competitively priced at the time. It comes with a white cover, however for the price it would be nice to have a more substantial cover included (these can be purchased separately for an additional £16 approx.)PS: I have found the DVD 'Pregnancy Yoga with Tara Lee' a god send for coping with my back and rib pain and have used it throughout pregnancy.  Pregnancy Yoga with Tara Lee [DVD ]

I bought this item when I was around 6 months pregnant and sleeping was becoming more and more difficult. I was sooo happy I decided to splash out (lets face it, it is an expensive product!), I don't know how I would've managed my last months of pregnancy without it. I wish it would have a little more padding, but it is nonetheless very supportive in all the right places.The best thing of all is that I am now using it as a nursing pillow and as a nest pillow on which I can "sit" my 2 month old, and he is the happiest baby ever. Its great because the extra "back support" bit that most maternity pillows don't have can be placed in front of the "V" holding the baby and gives extra peace of mind.A downside, apart from the need for more padding/stuffing, is that the pillowcase it came with went "bubbly" in just a couple of months - not very good quality! Couldn't believe the replacement covers are £10+, so instead my mother-in-law made a couple by hand and I couldn't be happier.Overall I would THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PILLOW, it has been a lifesaver, and even though it is a little expensive, it will definitely be worth the expense.

Comprato in una notte d'estate al 9mese di gravidanza...perché non l'ho fatto prima?!? Mi ha cambiato il sonno. Certo non risolve tutti i problemi ma aiuta molto! Giusta consistenza per il pancione e la schiena.

Excelente compra, me deja descansar cómodamente y supongo que será útil también para la lactancia. Es un poco cara pero creo que vale la pena.

We borrowed it to a pregnant friend and she loves it as well. It is also useful during breastfeeding. Washable cover.

Qualität ist super, sowie die dicke des Kissens. Das Rückenkissen verhindert definitiv bei mir, dass ich auf dem Rücken schlafe und unterstützt die Seitenlage. Allerdings gibt es einen Stern weniger, da es nachts im Bett leider etwas umständlich ist, dass ganze Kissen zu wenden wenn man die Seite wechseln möchte, da das Rückenkissen im Weg liegt.

La almohada me permite sujetar la espalda y las rodillas, y apoyar un poco la tripa. Estoy de 6 meses así que no sé cómo me irá funcionando cuando me ponga más grande, pero de momento me gusta. La funda se puede sacar y lavar aparte, no lo he hecho aún ya que sólo llevo unos días usándola. La tela es agradable al tacto sin ser de una calidad excepcional, pero es aceptable. Creo que será también útil durante la lactancia o en general para sujetar al bebé mientras veo la tele, ya que te la puedes poner detrás de la espalda y te sujeta la zona lumbar. De momento estoy contenta, aunque me sigue pareciendo un poco cara para lo que es.
