Fantastic little bit of kit. As others have said a little expensive, certainly more than you would like to pay for it. That said, it's a long term investment and will make protecting the camera lens that bit less of a faff. Works by magic (ok two little spring loaded micro switches press onto barrel of lens opening and closing iris when turned on/off). Buy it.

It works perfectly and saves loads of time removing the lens cap. It is very lightweight, so of course feels a little cheap for the cost but it seems to protect the lens and works well enough.To be honest this should be included in the kit, but the cashback offer currently running on the OM-D makes it "kind of "included.

Greatly addsto the convenience in using the 14-42ez lens. Knocked off a star, because it arrived without any manufacturers packaging, which suggests Amazon have acquired a batch of refurb/returns. Not a big deal for a lens cap, albeit a rather expensive one, but it should have been made clear.

So useful...saves putting a filter on to protect lens and auto removes in use. Fantastic.

Twice the price it should be, and it's impossible to use this as well as filters. But... paired with a E-PL8, it does add some value, making it quicker to turn on and shoot, and automatically covering the lens afterwards. The silly little lenscap that comes with the 14-42 is so small I'd probably lose it anyway and is rather expensive to replace too.

A quality answer to a separate lens cap and open and closes automatically and makes a compact lens even better and even more convenient

While the price may seem exorbitant for a bit of plastic essentially, I have found this to be indispensable. Highly recommended for anyone doing street photography as it means you have virtually instant access with no fumbling the cap off and on.

Brilliant little device, not cheap but it “just works”! Very cleverly constructed and is definitely a fit and forget lens cap. I originally bought a simple uv filter as I do to protect all my lenses....I now wish I had just put the money towards this little lens cap. The lens this fits, is great one for street photography and the function of this clever lens cap fits that use perfectly.

It's over priced but worth it, if that makes any sense. I've got this auto lens cap on two of my Olympus cameras and I LOVE it. It works great and it eliminates more hassle than I can state. I wish every camera had this option available.

I just bought an Olympus OM-D camera with 14-42 kit lenses, and this addition is just a must have! It's very convenient to use, forget about losing lens caps, it's always with you. So, the feature you could find in cheap cameras with built-in lens, but in a proper camera. I wish Olympus has similar options for more lenses.The only drawback I could note that it is a little bit expensive for just a tiny piece of metal.

Sehr einfach anzubringen, funktionierte auf Anhieb an meiner Olympus Pen E-P7. Man legt den Objektivdeckel auf und dreht ihn nach rechts fest. Jetzt öffnet und schließt sich das Objektiv automatisch, was eine einfachere Handhabung und ein weiterer Schutz meiner geliebten Kamera bedeutet.

Funciona a la perfección, protege el objetivo de golpes, apertura automática nada más encender la cámara , y como va enroscada evitas perder la tapa, es un poco cara pero con lo caros que son los objetivos vale la pena

Just screwed it on my Olympus M. Zuiko 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 EZ and now my micro 4/3 camera can be used almost as a point and shoot. Great when you are just out with the kids and want to do some snaps, but not have to worry about fiddling with lenses or dropping your lens cap.
