Hairdressers Single Tap Shampoo Hose Attachment

I bought this for attaching to my kitchen sink tap to wash my hair after a home dye because I have recently had my bath replaced with a walk in shower and don't want to spoil it! I was concerned that I would have trouble fitting it over my mixer tap because a lot of reviewers have said that it's unyielding and it was either impossible or a struggle to get the hose over the end of their tap. I was fully prepared to boil up the kettle to losen it a bit but I didn't need to. I found it sturdy enough not to be useless for the task but not too stiff at all - just perfect. I just removed the aerator screw cap at the end of the tap and very easily pushed the hose over the tap. I held on to the hose as I gingerly turned the tap on at first but I didn't need to worry as the hose didn't losen it's grip at all and a lovely fine mist of water came out of the shower head. Did the job of hair washing even easier than it used to be in the bath because I didn't need to bend over as far. I was watertight all through use and came off the tap easily too. I would really recommend this hose for this purpose or for pet washing. Just put a towel on the worktop next to you so it doesn't splash too much.

Excellent attachment for washing your hair using a kitchen sink mixer tap with a 22mm diameter curved spout. small drip from the join to the pipe to soft rubber fitting that goes on the tap but it is only because it was cut carelessly by the assembler but it is nothing to worry about as the drip runs down the pipe into the sink anyway. The part fitting the tap is watertight and goes on and off easily. The hand set is easy to use .Very good buy and has certainly solved our hair washing problems.

Bought this as a last resort as our bathroom was being redone and didn't have a shower for 3 weeks. It came in extremely useful for washing hair over the kitchen sink. It's very light but very durable and is a good quality item for the price. However, it did tend to slip off the tap quite a few times while being used. The part that slips over the end of the tap was tight and fit very snuggly, but slipped off on a higher pressure. Overall, it's good! It was a life saver and a handy spare. I would still recommend it though, it was a good purchase.

Just as described. Long and efficient. I've been back and forth trying to find something I could use with my kitchen tap. I finally got it right.. It's long and does the job. It goes through my window and it's a life saver for washing the dogs. I'm so happy.

You have to have a very small cylindrical tap end to be able to fit this on. Would fit my tap at home, but didn’t fit the tap it was purchased for. Inside the end of the tap fitting there is a plastic part that must clench the tap tightly to prevent water leaking out of the pipe - this part especially wouldn’t fit over. Hopefully we’ll find another use for this (perhaps it will fit on the hose pipe for cleaning the dog paws) but basically I just threw my money at this company for something useless - don’t make the same mistake!

Due to the lack of options for single tap mixers, this was the best option for me. My bath tap is around 4cm in diameter which was originally too large for this particular attachment, but I was able to crudely cut out the inside lining of the tap end with scissors to make it slightly wider. It now fits on the end of the tap although it does now slip off now and again as well as there being significant leakage around the edges and thus the pressure is not high. However, it appears to be the only option if you have a wide tap so even though it is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, it is still useable on a daily basis and better than using a jug in the bathtub.(It should also be noted that when I say leakage, I mean quite a high pressure of water streaming out of the edges of the attachment due to the tight fitting around the tap. For me it is not a major problem as the bath tub and thus the tap are against a wall, so it does not go anywhere else. If your tap is not against anything, the water will probably go all over the bathroom.)

We have mixer taps of different sizes in the kitchen, bath and basin in the bathroom. I was not sure about sizes but decided to take a chance hoping that this shampoo hose would connect properly to at least one of them. Much to my delight, with a bit of effort it fits securely over the basin mixer tap, resulting in a very pleasant type of shower. I will be using it when shampooing my hair, rather than pouring endless plastic containers of water over my head as previously. Even more important, I have recently had an operation and must not soak the wound in a bath, but can have a quick shower. I have found that I can have a shower kneeling in the bath using this shower hose connected to the basin mixer tap, which is immediately adjacent to the bath. Without a shower curtain a lot of water gets splashed around, so this is probably only a temporary expedient until I can revert to having proper baths again !

Fitted my 1" diameter kitchen mixer tap perfectly. This was a lifesaver during the 10-week period my entire bathroom was out of action owing to a bathroom refurbishment which, at time of writing, is still dragging on after 14 weeks. I was able to wash my hair over the kitchen sink and, owing to the generous length of the hose, shower my body every day by standing in a washing-up bowl place inside a plastic laundry basket without too much mopping up afterwards. The spray hose stayed securely attached to the tap and the shower head worked well.
