Great display for the elderly
This watch was advertized for people with impaired vision. However my eyesight is reasonable for an octogenarian but I do like a display with large numbers and this watch provides this in spades. The display gives just the date (two letters for day and its date but no month) and the time hh/mm/ss. Nothing else clutters the display. (The month is spoken when pushing the date button.)The voice which tells the time at the touch of a button is very clear and is useful to me when it is too dark to see the display. There is an alarm function which I have not tried yet. The watch body is robust in stainless steel and the watch strap is an expanding steel bracelet and which I find very comfortable.Overall I am very pleased with this watch and have found nothing I dislike about it. Good value.

Well made and good value for money
Talking watch purchased for a 98 year old (F) with sight and hearing challenges. We are very happy with the watch, it performs as expected. Numbers are large and clear and the talking voice is very understandable. Would have preferred a slightly louder option but then that might have annoyed others nearby, so maybe a reasonable compromise. It appears robust and is easy to put on the wrist. One other comment is that the strap is a little to long for a very skinny wrist depsite being adjusted to the shortest it can be. Overall initially very happy with our purchase.

Good, apart from one glaring omission. And now two glaring omissions!
Hearkent Atomic Digital Talking Watch TG2117 LCD. The manufacturers have got this watch almost correct - there is only one glaring omission. The watch display is good, clear and easy to read - even without my glasses on. The watch display is not backlit, but this is not necessary as it will tell you the time verbally. The time and date talking works, is effective and clear. The talking menu system is effective and, along with the instructions sheet which is in adequate English, makes setting up the watch OK.The watch does receive the UK MSF clock signal OK, but it has to be in just the right place overnight to do so. However this is more an issue with the MSF transmission and reception in southern England rather than the watch - I have less problems with receiving the DCF signal from Germany than I do with the UK MSF signal from Cumbria. The glaring omission is that I cannot find a way to set the watch into 24 hour mode. The display has the necessary elements to display the time in 24 hour mode, but there seems to be no menu option for changing the 12/24 hour mode. As many of us live in a 24-hour world this is a serious shortcoming.Update after buying a second watch.Oh Dear! Since buying my first watch it has changed from being an almost great watch to merely a good watch. The first watch (bought in 2023) had a menu option to change country between UK, Europe, Japan and North America - automatically changing the time to match the time zone and the radio signal source - really useful for anyone who travels. However the second watch I bought (in 2025) does not have this facility - this seems such an unnecessary and petty change as it is presumably just a software/firmware change - and a change for the worse. I contacted the seller by Email - they did respond, but said if you by the watch in the UK it is fixed to the UK.

Great watch
Only had this a couple of days but I had to write a review. My requirements for a watch were time signal automatic setting, day and date. Trying to find these was difficult but this watch fit the bill. It did have other features but simple to operate was also on my list. Well I’m not disappointed, this watch is great and excellent value for money. It looks good as well.

Excellent value. Great watch!
I bought this for my dad who has Alzheimer’s. He loves it! Good value for money! The display is big so that he can see it clearly too!

Only keeps correct time in the UK
The watch is working as it was intended, and speaks with a clear voice, BUT it will only keep the correct time when used in the UK.Since the watch is automatically updated via a radio signal from the UK, it keeps the time for the UK time zone.If the watch is used in a country like Denmark, it can still receive the radio signal from the UK, and will therefore keep the time as in the UK, which is an hour behind the time here in Denmark. And there is no way to turn the automatic timekeeping off, according to a response from the supplier. This should have been mentioned in the add, I have now spent a good sum of money on returning the watch for a refund :-(

Disappointed
I thought the watch was a solar powered atomic watch and then discovered it was battery powered and the battery needs changing yearly. Disappointed. In other respects the watch is very good.
