Effective waterproof case that should help avoid any further mishaps 👍👍👍
'Er indoors has a habit of using the phone whilst in the bath. We have had one ruined phone, and to avoid a further phone being water damaged, it was time to consider alternative possibilities (I have tried to persuade her not to take it in the bathroom but to no avail). My requirements are not onerous. I simply want a good looking protective case, one that hopefully looks stylish too, protects her phone and is good value for money. It is for this one particular reason that I am offering my review of the Anker waterproof case. This Anker waterproof case arrived in very good time, boxed, with the manufacturers name on the front cover (picture 1). The back of the box (picture 2) provides customer service details and that this product has an 18 month warranty. All very simple, but in fairness, there doesn't need to be anything more.On inspecting the box contents, I received (pictures 3, 4 & 5) :- Black rimmed transparent waterproof case- Neck strap- Are you satisfied note- User manualWhilst the top part of the case is a made of plastic, the rim is black but made of rubber (silicone) and air filled, which means it should in theory help the case to float. The instructions advise that you test it first using a tissue. I agree as tissue easily soaks and even the smallest leak will become quickly visible. I also added a pair of erasers, to simulate some weight, and perhaps help the case sink. Squeezed the air out and clipped it shut. See picture 5 for how the clips look when open. Both opening and closing is straight forward.Next, placed it in a bucket of water and left it for about a 20 minutes. The case didn't sink (picture 6).This test proved that the case does actually protect from water. The seal actually works completely well and the tissue was completely dry.Next, an iPhone 4s and tissue paper (picture 7). This time, the bottom did sink but not the top part and as time passed, it floated completely. Post test, the phone and tissue remained completely dry. 👍👍👍Next test, phone functionality within the waterproof case. Used with both an iPhone 4s and a 6s, touchscreen works effectively and I can also access the home, power and volume buttons, but, obviously, no joy with fingerprint recognition on the 6s.I have used the case with an iPhone 4s and 6s (and erasers 😊) so can confirm these do indeed fit, individually. Finally, both front and back are transparent, so whichever way you place the phone in, you can take pictures too. 👍In summary, I like how this case successfully protects a phone. It looks both minimalist yet fairly stylish and is effective. The neck strap though is definitely not the most impressive I have seen. Next to persuade 'er indoors to put her phone in this if she really must use her phone whilst relaxing in the bath.Disclaimer. I was sent this Anker waterproof case, gratis, for an honest and unbiased review, based solely on my experience of this particular product. I hope you find this review helpful and the pictures useful.

An excellent product, does exactly what it says - 100% waterproof.
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely amazing product, at first I was quite nervous to use a waterproof case so I did a few tests by filling it with A4 paper and then later with an empty phone case. Throughout my testing, water didn't seep into the case once - not under the shower, nor under the tap. I then went on holiday with it, and was able to swim in the sea and record a video underwater with it. Granted, if the water isn't clear the phone won't be able to record well with it, but heck - with this product I was still able to record the video without the phone getting wet at all. Thanks to the useful neck-band that comes with this product, I was also able to take it on a jetski and record footage without 1 - my phone getting wet, and 2 - losing my phone.

Sort of floats
Given this several days testing and this has been fantastic at keeping my iPhone 6s Plus bone dry while I dipped in and out of pools and jacuzzis, but I shied away from trying this out in the sea though because I couldn't get it to float reliably and I didn't want to watch my expensive gadget sink slowly, albeit safely, out of reach. The instructions say to squeeze out excess air when closing the seal, but when you do that it's not very buoyant, leaving a bit of air in seemed to do the trick though. One other thing to possibly watch out for is that my phone did seem to get a little warm when it was sealed in but not in the water. Other than those issue it's been great! Obviously the touchscreen doesn't work and you loose all mobile/ wifi signal underwater, but if you open the camera app above water you can just about still press the volume buttons on the iPhone and use it as an ok underwater camera! So I think this isn't amazing as a standalone item but you could put your phone in this in you bag and never worry about water getting in ever again.

fully waterproof but awkward size for iphone 6
So I had bought and returned a few of these waterproof cases, but i ended up keeping this one: i did a 7 day hike in some terrible weather and it kept my phone safe and dry when checking maps and routes. The plastic allows you to use the touchscreen of the ipone 6s. my only complaint is the size: why make a generic case for lots of different phones that are all different sizes? this case is way too big for an iphone 6s which makes an already big case very bulky: i ended up folding it over to fit into a pocket which was a bit of a pain. it is advertised as fitting a whole range of phones so i was expecting a generic size when i ordered it, but it would be much better if it had a specific iphone-sized option. however, for its actual function - protecting phones from rain - it was awesome.

Good item, well made, waterproof.
Cheeky surprise when this arrived as there are inflated sides that add buoyancy should you drop it in water. I've not tested the buoyancy with the weight of my iPhone 7 Plus (yes I know it's a waterproof phone but I'd rather not test it)! Overall much better quality than I expected. Used regularly kayaking an no issues. iPhone 7 Plus fits in perfectly. It's a large item so it's unlikely it'll fit in the pockets of your buoyancy aid, it didn't on mine. Overall impressed.
