I bought another brand of these waterproof connectors a year or so ago. They were marginally effective. Then I bought these. The difference is like night and day. First of all, these things are heavy and strong and solid. They are probably 5 to 6 inches long and made of thick, heavy-duty plastic. The silicone seals are very pliable. I have no doubt that they will keep the water out.Bottom line; if you need to make a weatherproof connection on a Cat-5 or Cat 6 cable, this is what you need.

If you have any ip cameras with corroded weather connectors...these are excellent. As long as you can figure out the pinout, cut off the old one, and crimp on a new Male rj45 connector...these are the best thing I have found. Better than the original weather connector. Great deals. No way water is gonna get in these. Now you can repurpose those cams that you thought were a total loss.

I was planning to use these to splice in a cable extension to an EMT based wiring system. What I found was that the connectors are really long and do not fit into a junction box. The connectors are well made, but are too large.

I have possibly a hundred of these in the field. Unfortunately, two of these installed at the same home failed within two weeks of each other. The first time I presumed it was the way the cable was coiled that made ingress easier. The second one, however, was installed horizontally and cable was coiled downward. However, not two weeks later after another snow storm, both ends were full of water and plugs and jacks were completely corroded.
