So I'll be honest I purchased a hifiman xs at a local store to use with my portable dac ifi go link only cuz they didn't have the meze classics in stock and he gave me a good deal since I wanted to use my go link dac on my phone plus I was desperate/impatient to use the portable dac with a new hi-res headphone . I should have just waited the 2 days and ordered the meze classic. Anyway I took my headphones home saw the cable and was not impressed the cable felt super cheap, no mic and was short. I got annoyed after 2 weeks and had buyers regret mostly because of the cable. I didn't want to travel back into the city and return the hifiman so I checked online some reddit posts people said to try the meze cable. They did not lie . Much better cable quality . Better material and the right length for my preference. The mic worked with the go link dac but not the button. That is the dac's fault it doesn't support it . I did however plug it into my tablet that has a headphone jack the button works , the mic worked and sounded the same i posted a picture the cable matches the hifiman xs and the audio quality did not change at all. Thank you Meze. A company who thinks about all uses and cares about their cable quality as much as the actual headphones. Hopefully I get to save up and buy the Meze 99 classics

Wow. I am just blown away by how awesome this product and brand is. I recently became an owner of a pair of MEZE CLASSIC 99 NOIR. These headphones have become my favorite pair when I'm making art in my studio. They are lightweight, BEAUTIFUL, and made from quality material. Unfortunately, I got a bad cable which made the sound clip out on one ear. And so I decided to buy another cable. So I bought this 1.2 m Cable Walnut Gold to replace my 3m Walnut Noir cable it came with. I was pretty excited because I did want a shorter cable since I like to use this pair on the go or when active around the studio. After receiving the new cable, the same problem occurred but on the other ear. So just to make sure the problem wasn't the headphones, I tried using the OEM with my friend cables. It has been working perfectly. I contacted the seller MEZE on Amazon and got a response from Razvan who referred me to the official website. I contact customer service and was immediately connected to Vlad who was super professional and attentive. They explained that MEZE has a 2% defect rate (which is super low) but regardless, listen to my needs and now I am being shipped a new pair of cables. Not just a replacement for the walnut gold but they are replacing my original noir cables for a walnut silver. (which was the option I chose instead of waiting 35 days for the Noir cables from Romania, which I was grateful to even be offered that option!!!)I am a very proud owner of Classic 99 Noir, and now I feel even more grateful standing by a product where the people behind the brand truly care about their customers. I am so excited to reunite with my headphone and look forward to purchasing more of MEZE AUDIO products in the future. For all audiophiles out there, this is a great product with quality sound, material, brand, and people who stand by the product and its patrons. THANK YOU MEZE for bringing us audiophiles a great product and customer relations! You are definitely a 5-star company!

Bought these for my Focal Elex, they work great, no difference in sound as far as I can tell. The left and right jakcs fit a little snug and require a little force to plug in. I wish it had a 1/4 in adapter like other cables because sometimes I'd like to plug it into my interface (and don't need the mic function). The length is very personal and would have liked a longer option but it works just fine. The materials are perfectly fine, nothing stellar. Definitely worth $20

I bought a replacement cord because my original one broke after only a few months of use. You had to bend the cord a certain way and hold it there for the sound to work. Then when I received the new cord the came thing happened in less than a month! It really sucks because the headphones themselves are such a high quality but I can't even enjoy them because the cord cable sucks so much......The headphones were soooooo expensive and they are completely useless with this cord.

Perfect. Very good cable, nice metal plugs. Very nice sound, as expected.

Loose connection on the stereo end - if the cable bends at all you will lose a wide range of frequency. If you plan to use this cable on the go, it will be worthless.

This is a great cable when attached to a phone, or with a cable creation coiled cable, attached to a desktop dac/amp, which protects your dac/amp, cables and headphones. Both are a terrific price. Thanks for making them available. The combination of the 2 cables is a perfect length. I am super glad to come across both of them. My fear of dragging my dac/amp on to the floor are now allayed.
