Polycell PLCMPPR600GS Multi Purpose Polyfilla Ready Mixed, 600 g, Off-white

Polyfilla is well-known so I'll cut to the chase... Usually I mix my own Polyfilla when I have a few areas to do, or I am decorating. This time I needed convenience and a quick fix, assuming that the price I would pay for those would be an inferior product, possibly harder to apply, ultimately achieving a lesser finish. I was wrong; this decent-sized tube of Quick Drying Polyfilla was only £3.50 approx., well-packaged (in terms of well-designed for application), and it was extremely easy to fill with, and to gather and smooth to a finish that barely needed sandpaper once dry. If I didn't have the spatula I wanted, I imagine I would've been fine with a credit card. Incredible value for money, no discernible smell that I noticed. Great results. Painted over after a quick sand and wipe and job done in such a way that led me to reviewing it, especially given mundane a product you might consider it to be... Brilliant for small holes in plasterwork (as was my application).

This Polyfilla is a truly fantastic product. We needed something reliable to fill in some cracks inside our daughter’s wardrobe, and this did the job perfectly. It was really easy to use, providing a lovely smooth finish, and I was impressed by how quickly it dried. It definitely did what we wanted it to do, giving us a great surface ready for painting. Since the tub is quite large for the price, it feels like good value for money for any DIY task. I have zero complaints about it and would absolutely recommend that others buy it!

Easy to use and actually works. Used this to repair a crack up a wall where someone had joined a solid wall to a plasterboard addition. I used tape over the crack, then this plaster as a base coat, let it dry then a finishing coat. I am no plasterer, but, this really was easy to use. I found that making it into a very smooth paste and spraying lightly the area to cover with water prior to putting it in the gap made it easier to shape. I found using a base coat, letting that dry, then a finishing coat made it easier to blend it to the existing plaster work. If you are careful and get it on the wall and don't fiddle with it the product does what it says. I would use this again for small plaster repairs.

Wouldn’t use it for a large set of jobs but it works really well for tidying around a small job and is very convenient. Dries quickly and you can paint over. Also if you are careful with application there is little need for sanding. So a great small job small crack tube to keep for all those ‘put a shelf up’ jobs that you don’t want to make up lots of powdered stuff.

I bought this to replace a very old tub of filler after we had a mouse visitor! Turns out we had a pretty big hole that needed filling. This turned up less than 24hrs after, the plastic seal snaps off easily and the mixture inside is ready to go - there seems to now be some type of wax paper cover over it? Maybe it helps it stay moist perhaps? I used my amazon basic wallpaper scraper to apply it to the hole. The first lot to fill the hole then layering it up till it created a smooth finish to match the wall. The thickness is just right, not to runny and not too thick where it can t be moved. Knew this would do the job I needed it for - quick work too for a 10 minute job, left it to set and went back next day and all is good! No shrinkage or cracking :)

Mixes well, enough in box and 2 separate packets so don't worry about waste. Drys quick and no shrink. Smooth finish needed light sanding. Easy to mix. Ok for price not cheapest but if you're in a rush its fine.

This is so easy to use and sets very quickly. Dries fully within a day. I used this to emboss my ceiling using floral stencils and it turned out great! can be washed off tool etc. with warm/hot water ( i do recommend doing this while its still mostly wet but can be soaked and removed if it has already hardened.)
