Garmin Silicone Protective Case for Edge 1000 GPS Bike Computer - Blac

Bought this case for my Garmin Edge 1000 and I think it's been great. Material is quite soft and elastic (great if after cycling you will be keeping your Edge 1000 in the bag or pocket), protects its casing from scratches.Putting Edge 1000 into this case is straight forward, and case does not bring any inconvenience when mounting edge 1000 to the bike.Colours: I believe black one looks more elegant and is less noticeable from the side (brings more natural look, especially if your bike's frame is dark or black). But what I noticed is that shiny colours especially blue one, is extremely visible and works great as a reminded to unmount your Edge 1000 after the ride. (Especially if you are cycling to work or other public areas).All in all it's a great small accessory to an expensive cycling computer, quality is great and, in my opinion, it is definitely worth its price.

Does exactly as described. Fits snug but not tight as its has a rubbery feel and not hard like phone cases. Also as another reviewer stated one of his bottom buttons rattled same as myself, but with case on its gone. Should keep Garmin 1000 safe from scratches and small knocks. Also fitting lanyard no problem.

Excellent case for my Garmin 1000 which was a doddle to fit and will hopefully provide some protection from small knocks. It fits really snug and all the buttons work easily when it's fitted and it looks really slick. For such a low price though it surely could have been included with the Edge 1000!?!There is plenty of room around the mount so I had no issues attaching to the bike. However, although the case is great, the packaging it came in is so over the top. I appreciate that the Edge 1000 is Garmin's top of the range cycle GPS however, a plastic case for around a tenner does not need or warrant such a waste of packaging, after all, mine went straight in the recycling bin!Great case - stupid packaging!

Well-made but a poor fit. Quite loose and, staggeringly, there is no cutout for the safety lanyard attachment point, so the case bulges away from the unit. Fine if you don't use a safety lanyard but if it's a choice between a silicone cover and a lanyard, I know which one I prefer. Very poor design from Garmin.Update: fiddled around with it and it does fit OK. Just me being impatient. Just taken the case on a week-long tour of France and it performed very well. Gave extra grip on the unit itself, not to mention colour co-ordinatimg with the rest of my touring set-up. Rating updated accordingly.

A nice well-designed scratch stopper. Nice fit and style and looks good. Also has a groove on the inside to provide an air channel to the altimeter port on the back of the Edge 1000. Some other silicone cases might not thus giving you bad altitude data.

Perfect fit and good soft rubber makes it easy to put it on. Not yet seen whether it protects my Edge 200 if it falls (hope I don’t get to find out 😉).

I bought this for my new Garmin edge 1000. Just wanted to highlight some pros and cons.PROS-Well priced.-Fits the Edge 1000 perfectly.-Easy to take on and off.-Good level of protection.-Cut-outs for charging port and mount.CONS-Attracts a lot of dust when put into a pocket.The dust attraction is my biggest gripe, but other than that this is a really nice case and will protect your expensive new GPS unit.

Does a fantastic job of protecting the Edge 1000 whilst adding very little bulk. Obviously, being an official product, all the holes and buttons are in precisely the right place. It looks good and doesn't affect functionality. Really, Garmin should supply these with the computer in the first place but they have at least kept the price reasonable... or is that Amazon? It comes in loads of fancy packaging, which is a plus if you're buying as a gift!

The green case is a perfect match to my bike and provides added protection if the Garmin is dropped.

This is one of the Garmin GPS navigation computers for cyclists/cycling. ⁃ The case fits the Garmin even after the addition/application of the Akwox tempered glass screen protector for the Garmin 1000 Edge. ⁃ The power button on the side and the settings and functions buttons on the bottom left and right respectively work exactly as they should even after the installation of the silicone case. ⁃ The case allows one to charge the Garmin 1000 Edge as it has slots at the back. It also allows one to lock the Garmin 1000 Edge onto the Garmin bicycle mount and there is enough space for the GPS to be mounted without rubbing onto the case. ⁃ It will protect the edges and back of the Garmin GPS. For better protection, add a tempered glass screen protector. ⁃ Since it has holes, it wouldn’t be completely water proof but it would be water resistant to some extent.
