Bosch1x Parallel Guide with Circle Cutter (Accessories for Jigsaws)

This is a universal guide from Bosch. It fits my GST 160 BCE perfectly, which I was a little surprised did not come with a guide.The guide has the clamp for securing and adjusting the guide and the dowel for cutting circles fitted into the back of the guide - so no loose parts when you store it.The guide works great, secure and robust enough for what I've done so far. I've not used the circle guide yet, but it is a nice bonus and can't see any problem using it. Drill a hole drop the dowel through the guide into it and you're ready.Very happy with the tool.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this attachment... apart from the fitting diagram.I bought this for my PST700E despite some poor reviews stating that it doesn't fit. I suppose I put my faith in Bosch.Having said this it took a little while to work out that, for my model jigsaw at least, to use the accessory as a parallel guide, it was necessary to remove the securing screw from the hole it was fitted in and put it in the other hole in the attachment bracket in order for it to attach securely.Quite honestly the instructions provided for a host of appliances and tools these days amount to little more than poorly drawn, miniscule diagrams without any supporting narrative. While this undoubtedly reduces costs, not least for items sold internationally, at least make the illustrations big and expansive enough to provide adequate instruction.Having said that it works well and makes life so much easier for parallel cuts. I have yet to cut a circular hope but will provide any relevant update as and when.One overall star dropped for poor instructions otherwise pricey but fine.

Perfect better kit just what I need

Not as good or efficient as original model from years ago. Instructions dreadful virtually non existent. Just fiddle with options until it fits. OK if you are desperate.

Just right for my bosch electric jigsaw. Very happy it's a good tight fit withinstructions.

I bought this to use with my new jigsaw and because as a ham fisted diy person I need all the help I can get!Not being confident I think this will help me when it comes to cutting straight edges. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s easy to set up.My only reservation is that it is limited to guiding cuts no wider than about 30cms, but I knew that when I bought it. The ability to use the guide for cutting circles gives added flexibility, but I haven’t come across a situation where I will need it.I have used the other guide accessory for wider straight cuts and it works fine.

I am going to call Bosch customer service, to ask if I am using it correctly. The little clamp that holds the parallel guide works loose after about 30 seconds and you saw all over the place! You can turn the clip around and it still works loose. I am more accurate by hand.EXTRAOne month ago i rang Bosch about this and they said send photos and an inquiry, in which, i asked if i was using it correctly. nothing for 2 weeks, so i wrote again and they said -"we are very busy, wait for a reply." 2 weeks later i wrote again and they said, " we heard you the first time, we are still busy." dont bother with this or Bosch - i expected better things from them!
