Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mt. Skullzfyre

This is one of the best card games out there.A round of this game lasts no more than ten minutes. There's no "waiting your turn" rubbish like other games - you put together your play simultaneously, and resolve the spells you've crafted according to the value of your spell. Then, play out your ridiculous sorcery to see how it impacts your opponents.It's quick, fun, original, simple enough that anyone can pick it up in one round, and it seems to have a universal appeal. It's one of the few games you can pretty much guarantee will be enjoyed by everyone in a group, including those who don't normally enjoy games. It's a great one for pulling out of the bag in a cafe.It was out of print for the last couple of years so I've been watching like a hawk for this bad boy to be released again, and thankfully nothing's changed. The artwork is as wonderful & charmingly weird/gross/funny as ever. Forget Munchkin - this is your go-to fun game. A very strong contender for Best Introductory Game For Newcomers.

From the ridiculous name, the over the top instructions, and the crazy wizards - to the insane artwork, hilarious spells, and perfectly balanced gameplay; this is one of the best games I've played in a long time.It's super simple, and so easy to pick up I could explain it to a group of slightly-non-sober friends in minutes - and after one round they were all fully immersed and understood exactly how to play.Everyone loved it, and you will too - just be sure to use your best wizard voices and put on some 80s hair-metal while you play!!

I could write for a while about this game and the crazy spells and artwork that it's got but you should just buy it instead and see for yourself.I absolutely love it. The artwork is a bit wacky and cartoon-gory but the system is pretty simple and I'd have to say that playing it is pretty fun. The premise is well described - blow each other up by creating spells from a combination of cards. There's a little bit in the way of tactics too, with shorter spells letting you go first - good for getting rid of a pesky hanger-on who won't die.So yeah all in all highly recommended for a night of debauchery and murderation with friends. This is one of those games where more people make it more fun though.

For you niche nerds it's a couple of hours of hilarious bad-pun spell jokes and screw-your-buddies gameplay with a pretty good turn order determination mechanic. It's a little involved so if you prefer simple or shorted games maybe this isn't for you. Also I've not found anyone without a Y chromosome who likes this game, but how can you not love the Furicorn?

What an awesome game!! Played with up to 8 players (5-6 recommended). Blast your friends with totally awesome ball-rocking magic. Not that stupid rabbits in hats rubbish!!With epically cool graphics (some look quite gorey so under 12's might want to have this checked first), play the game with strategy or the way I do by just making the coolest and most stupid spell combos. 80% Luck, 10% Strategy and 10% Stupid.Crank up the 80's Heavy Metal and let's MELT SOME FACES!!!

This is a fun game and is more suited to more than two players.

I have both Epic Spell wars box sets and combined them, this game looked a little complicated at first to my friends ( was introduced to a bunch of tipsy drinkers ). Once everyone learnt what was what they loved it!. Brilliant Game very easy to jump back into and a good laugh. I personally recommend also purchasing a variety of Wizard hats to make it double the amusement.

Fun card based game, really easy to learn, really re-playable and has some great expansions once you have the hang of the main game.
