Along with activity books its been great for showing him the letters he needs to spell his name and he does actually trace the shape with his fingers. So glad I bought! Review: Has been great for letter formation - Has been invaluable for us, alongside other resources. Didn't use it for the sounds but my little one has enjoyed feeling the letters then writing them - has managed to keep his attention rather than just get him to copy them

Great book
This book is really great. My 3yr old loves it! The fact that he can trace the letters with his finger, makes it more fun. Through this book children learn the shape and phonetic first. The letters are not in alphabetical order but in motion order. I would definately recommend this book for early learning.

Attractive & practical
I hate to take a star away from this gem but only the first movement for constructing each letter is shown. I inserted them all (e.g. the v stroke in K ) in the 'Let's try again' section inside the back cover.

Beautiful book to introduce letters
Well created and sturdy book for little hands (only that it wasn’t arranged to the usual abc’s as my 2 year old would sing the song at the end as he rounds up all the letters). It even caught the attention of my 6 years old boy who can already write but may still occasionally invert some letters like the “j, z and s”, and saw him tracing the textured letters with his fingers.

Excellent
I love that the letters are not introduced in the order of the alphabet but instead it's done in "groups" of similar letters. Nice pictures, my 2yo loves it

Good help with letters
Good book even though it cannot replace attending a Montessori school. It's based on the concept of Sand paper letters and it's helping to sound out letters. Good for preschool age children.

It’s wonderful for lowercase letters. Wish there was an uppercase version.

Love this book and so does my son! He attends a montessori preschool so this book supports that method well. The letters are all lower case and presented out of order (so kids aren't just memorizing the abc's). Each one is made with sand paper to support a sensory connection and promote learning. There's also a picture to hint at the sound (although my son thinks the "bus" should actually be "school bus."). And of course, true to the montessori method, the letters are presented as sounds, not things with a name (e.g. B is "buh"). My favorite part is the last page where all the letters are presented (out of order) so we can review and see how many he really knows. When he gets stuck, he turns back to find the picture page for a hint to help him remember. He knows most of the letters now and gets so excited when he finishes the last page without missing many because he's eager to start reading. (By the way, we never approach that last page as a test or anything stressful. Just a fun way to finish off the book.)

Muy buena opción, aunque en minúsculas, para iniciarse con las letras. El material del libro es genial, lleva intacto a pesar de su continuo uso. Súper recomendable toda la colección a partir del año y medio, incluso.

Great book for my 4 year old. He loves learning the sounds of each letter. Tracing the letters really helps with recall.
