Q: What does 'high volume' mean in the description. It can't possibly mean 'high capacity' as 600 mAh is pretty low capacity?

I have ordered four of the EBL 9V PP3 600mAh High Volume Lithium-ion Rechargeable Batteries for evaluation. I do not expect them to comply with The Consumer Rights Act 2015 with respect to the description marked on the product and the detail included on this Amazon listing. It is not possible for this product to provide a terminal voltage of 9V. The actual terminal voltage will be significantly lower than 9V throughout the entire discharge cycle. The advertised 600mAh capacity may or may not be achieved but it will never be reached by applying 9V to any load.

Q: How to recharge the 9v 6f22 battery? As a Lithium-ion chemistry battery the charging should require special handling.

It needs a special charger that can accommodate this type of 9 volt lithium battery. A much better solution is the type of 9 volt lithium battery than has a built-in micro USB socket for charging. The EBL branded ones are black and red (not silver and blue) and come with a charging lead that simply plugs into any USB socket, power supply or power bank.

The truth is these are not 9v but 7.4v batteries, consisting of two cell packs wired in series. So what you so is correct. Off load and freshly charged you might get over 8v but this will drop immediately on load. [I took some apart to check!]
