These definitely are quieter than most I have used, easy to fill but I can not seem to set humidity level. I set it to 55, change to low flow and it ends up at 70+. The other one works well so small failure but overall it humidifies.

Too much moisture even at a low setting.
Like other reviewers, I find it emits too much mist even at a low setting. In an A/C room, I set it on low, in the center of a 14x14 room for 3 hours, and my carpet and curtains became moist. I'm concerned about mildew.I love the ease of cleaning it, and the idea of avoiding a limescale buildup. I like the duration timer-one to twelve hours. However, if I can't regulate the amount of misting to my particular needs, then the humidifier is not serving my purpose.I cannot recommend this humidifier unless you have a great room with a vaulted ceiling. What a shame.

We love this
We love this humidifier so far. I never thought I was so particular about what I wanted in a humidifier until I actually started trying some.I was looking for a top fill option to replace my Vick's cool mist humidifier. I still love the Vick's, but it's one that you have to take the tank off of and full from the bottom, so it's a little bit of a headache to refill. There are many top fills on the market, but one thing I seem to be having trouble locating is one that has the option to direct the flow of the mist that comes out. This still doesn't allow that option, however, the mist is aimed outward at an angle so that it doesn't fall right back down on the humidifier itself or the surface it is sitting on. Surprisingly, a lot of them are designed so that the mist blows straight up, which means it falls right back down and creates a mess, sometimes damaging wood and electronics. This has an option that tells you what the relative humidity is in the room. I love that. We all suffer from dry skin in the winter - even the cats - so it's important that we keep the humidity up while our gas heat is running. You can set it to shut off at a certain humidity, or to just tell you what it is. It also has a timer or a sleep mode, which is handy if you are concerned about it running while you are asleep or away. This does go through the water fast. Thankfully, it is top fill, so all I have to do is bring a pitcher of water, pop the top off, and refill it.Aside from that, the only thing I don't like is that it only seems to have two different speeds. The little dial on the LCD readout is misleading because it looks like you would be able to adjust it to several different speeds. There's low and high. And even on low, there's a lot of visible mist, and it goes through water quickly. It states 36 hours of mist, but I highly doubt it would go that long, as I just filled mine this morning and it's already very low. This machine is easy to clean, and there is absolutely no assembly required. It comes out of the box exactly how you will use it. You fill it up, plug it up, and go.It's currently listed at $29, which is a steal. That's with 46% off through Amazon. Its normal price is $55, which I feel is fair for this type of humidifier and all that it does.I am very happy with this machine and hope that it lasts for a long time.

Five Stars with Caveats
I will give this five stars but caveat that I have not used all the functions. It is a five star product according to what I specifically use it for. I use it as a top-feeding humidifier for my indoor greenhouse for over-wintering my plants. To that I can speak of how it functions as advertised. How it has two mist-modes, is quiet, auto shuts off, and is easy to fill and clean. I like its sleep mode and timer. I have my doubts regarding the accuracy of the built-in humidity sensor but any inaccuracies are likely due to the small, sealed space it sits in. I run it for a few hours each day otherwise, it would undoubtedly soak the carpet given its location if left to its own devices since I do not leave it enough room to disperse the water.I have NOT used the so-called aromatherapy functions. I have my doubts about that as well. If I did add the oils directly to the tank, it would likely gunk it up more and faster similar to my little atomizer. I can say that with just water, keeping it clean and running is smooth. The touch sensors for the buttons are smooth and responsive. I do wish with all its fancy modes and settings that it could have at least added one for scheduling but it does not. It also does not promise such a thing so I cannot dock it points for that.Given what I use it for and the functions I have used it with, I can give it a five star rating. If I ever use the other functions and it sways me, I will edit this to drop it a star or two.

Big reservoir is heavy when filled
The reservoir is quite large which is great in the sense that you don't have to fill it as often as smaller ones. But it does get quite heavy when it its filled to the max amount. I actually filled my partly at the sink and then used my watering can to finish filling it. I may keep an empty gallon jug on hand just to use for filling it. There are a few parts on the interior that need to be reassembled after cleaning but it's pretty easy to figure out. It comes with 2 different brushes for cleaning and was easy to clean. I just need to be more disciplined with how often I clean it because it can get pretty disgusting but that's true with most humidifiers. It definitely adds moisture to the air and I like how it shoots the mist sideways instead of straight up into the air.
