Easy upgrade
Cheapest and quickest way to upgrade your hifi set up. I wasn’t overly impressed with the sound of my new Marantz CD player and Amp combo in spite of the great reviews. All I needed to do was replace the supplied interconnects with these. The bass became strong and punchy and the treble became sharper and more detailed. I think any system with an overly ‘warm’ sound would benefit from these cables. However, if your system is already on the bright side it may not improve your experience that much.

Well worth the money
This is great cable. Having upgraded my music system I decided not to scrimp on cabling. I used Chord Clearway for speakers and having been very impressed with that I decided to use Chord again for analogue RCA cable. The minute you pick up a Chord cable you can tell the difference in quality. K It is much thicker with strong insulation - totally different from the thinner cable that is so often used. The sound difference is truly noticeable. It is more costly but if you have a good system it's well worth the investment. So often great amps and speakers are let down by poor cabling - well worth giving Chord a try.

Noticeable improvement in sound quality.
I was a bit sceptical if spending £50 on a cable would improve sound much. My system had reasonable quality inexpensive cables. However, I was wrong. The Chord cable from the preamp to amplifier made a big difference, really opened up the sound and provided more detail. This is on a part vintage and part modern system with high end, turntable amp and speakers. After buying one it was so good I bought a second and will be buying more as I upgrade the streaming side of the system.

I'm a convert
I'm a convert. After reading the WhatHifi review I ordered these. A definite audible difference, for the better, to my ears. Coax on its way now.

Make sure your Hi-fi separates have good connections!
My Hi-Fi isn't very expensive and comprises Sony SACD-XB940 and Marantz PM4200 amplifier (both about 15 years old) and QED 11L2 speakers with Cable Talk Excell 4 bi-wire cables (8 years old). However the connector between the CD player and amplifier was a budget upgrade to the supplied jack leads and over 20 years old. The new Chord C line connector has transformed the sound of my system! The instruments are so much sharper and clearer and I am hearing sounds on familiar CDs I've never heard before! The vocals are now so realistic, I can imagine the artist being right there with me. I am delighted with the improvement this simple and relatively cheap addition to my Hi-Fi has made.

Sounds good to my ears.
I bought this interconnect to connect a 90s pioneer cd player to a new amp. I’m very pleased with the sound. I tried basic cables first and can tell a difference. I don’t believe that you have to spend hundreds of pounds on cables unless you have a super expensive system. The way I see it is, these are a very well made cable which is a big step up from basic cables. So why not spend a few more pennies on a sometimes overlooked part of your hifi.they won’t make a massive difference to budget equipment, but they may help squeeze more out of your music.

Great value upgrade
Bought these to go between my pre-amp and power amp, and noticed an instant improvement over my existing no-name cables. The opening up of the soundstage was immediately obvious, well worth the money, and I shall be buying more for the surround channels.

For £35 it is a subtle improvement....if your hifi lacks a tiny bit of sparkle or feels like it wants to open up slightly
Firstly make sure you measure the length of cable you need carefully - I could just about get away with the 0.5m length without straining the terminations and so chose this length. I think in hindsight I would chose the longer length next time for an extra £10 as it would give better flexibility if I make any changes to my setup or positioning of components. The cables are separate i.e. the positive and negative side are not bound or sheathed together and do note the direction of the arrows in the cables - the arrows should point in the direction of the output. I've used these as follows: Media PC connected to a Schiit asynchronous usb dac which is fed into an old Rotel intergrated amp via these Chord cables. I noticed that compared to the budget Ixos interconnects they replaced, these improve the dynamic range. It's a subtle difference but having listened to the same lossless source track over and over and switching between the Chord interconnects and the Ixos ones being replaced, it was apparent that the low end was punchier and less muddy and there were parts of the track in the high end which I hadn't fully noticed and appreciated before. It was a similar story using Spotify's highest quality setting but not as pronounced as the lossless track. For £35 it is a subtle improvement. They won't turn a bad sounding hifi into a good one, but if your hifi lacks a tiny bit of sparkle or feels like it wants to open up slightly, these cables may be a cheap way of getting the desired result.
