Honest review of item
Okay so I really wasn't expecting much looking at other reviews but, I have to say I am pleasantly surprised! Yes it's a bit flimsy and probably won't last past this summer (if we get one) but for what I paid I didn't really expect anything else. I found it easy to put together and easy to use... It did the job I wanted it too not spotless but a dam site better than it was... I have an above ground pool for the grandchildren mainly so this pool vacuum was ideal for me..Pros: Easy to put together, easy to use, a good price and does the job.Cons: a bit flimsy and handle isn't really that long for a 12ft pool

It works!
This works really well! I was not expecting much and to my pleasant surprise it sucked up all the dirt on the bottom of the pool. Easy to assemble, my hose went straight into it no problems, huge suction, handle is fine (I was a bit worried after reading some reviews) fabulous product really, exactly what I wanted, which you don’t get very often ‘cheap and actually works!’ If you are reading this then don’t hesitate to buy it, worth every penny!

works ok despite unreliable connector
I bought this to clean the bottom of a 3m diameter 0.5m deep circular, surface standing pool. The pool vac arrived promptly, but with no instructions. It works quite well once the dodgy connector is secured. The reach of the assembled handle is about 120cm, so just big enough, at arms-length, for my pool.Instruction free assembly is helped if you know something about the Venturi effect - i.e. flowing water through a narrow channel will create a suction that pulls adjacent water to flow with it. So the force of the flow from your attached hosepipe drags the water and debris from the bottom of your pool into and through the filter bag (through in the case of the water) the debris being trapped in the bag, depending on their size. My pool had accumulated a layer of dead midges and flies on the bottom while I was away - this filter bag was perfect for removing those and it took only a few minutes to clear the pool bottom once I had assembled the pool vac.Bear in mind that the water from your hose, which provides the Venturi suction to operate the pool vac, flows into the pool. So the pool's water level will end up higher than when you started unless you take action to lower it.The replacement filter-bags are quite expensive so I cleaned the existing one to re-use: it took longer to clean the bag than it had taken to clean the pool! ;-DSome people have commented that the pool vac doesn't remove green algae. That's because algae is microscopic in size compared to the mesh of the filter - you must kill the algae first with a recommended algaecide and, even then, you will require a proper continuously running pool filter to clear the resulting microscopic debris from the water.I only gave a 3* rating because of the poor connector. It looks like a Hozelock copy, so I first tried my hosepipe with its existing Hozelock connector - this felt a bit loose and sure enough, after a couple of minutes, it dropped off. I replaced the connector on the hose with one supplied with the pool vac and, with some extra pressure, it seemed to lock more firmly in place. However it came loose again after a few minutes. Without this irritating feature, in terms of cost effectiveness, the Swimming Pool Super Jet Vacuum would rate 5*.[Update 26/8/2018: after using it a few times I've decided that the poor connector can be held in position by holding the hose and vac handle together in the same hand, so that the hose-to-vac connection is kept in a fixed position. This reduces the chance of the connector coming loose. Also the suction created by the Venturi flow is very effective - it draws in water from quite a wide radius, effective to about 20cm, so the vac cleans a larger area than that simply defined by the rectangular suction-head box. I've increased the rating accordingly to 4*]

Great suction. Amazing for portable hot tub. Top up as you clean!
This is a fantastic little hoover. One thing to watch out for is that it comes with its own hose connector (auto stop type) and you have to really PUSH this to get it to click on. The first time I used this I thought it was designed to only half click on so hose could move about in water but no you must must really push it on till it properly clicks. I also had to use this supplied connector as no amount of pushing my Hozelock connector would click onto this fully. Slight inconvenience but if you use their connector fully clicked on it hoovers incredibly well and I have now cleaned bits from the bottom of my Canadian Spa Swift Current in no time. Especially good on a semi permanent hot tub like this as they have flat bottoms! I also find for those bits on surface of floating in water you can carefully angle it up and grab those too! Just keep the bag under water. Superb and I would not be without this. If you use it every couple of weeks it’s also an automatic way to top the water up too so dual function of cleaning and topping up. I have an external hot tap so use it with this to save cooling tub down! If this has been useful please click the helpful button. Thank you :)

Too pricey for what it is.
When you can get the hose to Fit, this works quite well. The problem is getting the hose to Fit!The connector is useless as water just gushes out of the side.We squeezed the hose itself over the inlet which is annoying if your hose is set up with connector for other things to connect. It does work well at collecting the debris from our spa but does feel like it will fall apart at any time.No way should it be the price it is considering it's just thrown into a bag and sent out with no instructions and a useless connector.Theses are probably all the same no matter which you buy but look around for a cheaper one as you'll probably be disappointed at what you get for nearly £30

Well worth the money ! Great suction for cleaning the but flimsy ! Worth the money !
This little pool hoover is amazing at cleaning and sucking up the mess ! Shocked at how good it was for the price ! It is flimsy , the pole could easily snap so be careful but honestly it is well worth the money . Saves emptying and re filling the pool !
