Classic, and with good reason.
This pedal is a stunner. I am running it as a mid boost after my blues driver. It is amazing.Loads of headroom, a surprising amount of gain (getting into distortion), a fully useable sounding tone knob and that famous Boss build quality. The looks are classic. This pedal will outlast your playing and probably humanity.Keep strumming people. If you are on the fence, just get one. You won't regret it.

Classic overdrive
Let’s be realistic - as far as classic overdrive stomp boxes go, it’s either this or the Tube Screamer - this is cheaper, better made, and it’s a pleasantly cheerful shade of yellow.Boss distortion pedals never did it for me (too much too soon on the dials - much like their chorus fx) but this is awesome and has plenty of subtle shifts in the sound. It’s priced in a zone where the upper clones live, but it’s indestructible and looks typically well finished. It’s the pedal every parent should buy their electric guitar playing son/daughter.

Guitar players best kept secret!
I’ve been playing guitar for nearly 28 years. It’s always been a learning curve. I’ve always been a plug in and play kind of guy and a little ignorant when it comes to these things, but have been using certain pedals over the last couple of years.Cannot recommend this pedal enough. Works absolutely flawless with my Marshall DSL50 Head. With the level full, tone at about about 4.8 and drive on zero it helps a ridiculous amount in controlling the overall tone. The bass is tightened up and sounds less ‘flubby’, the overall sound is so much tighter and defined. If you play mid to high gain I couldn’t recommend this enough.I wish I had known about this pedal back in the day seeming as it’s been unchanged since around 1980/1981.

Just what I needed
In the 80’s this was known as the $50 mod for Marshall’s in the US. But whether you are after the tone of the greatest era of rock music or a lead boost or just something to warm up and tighten the bottom end of your amp this pedal can do it.I use mine in front of a jubilee and it certainly gets the tone I want. I’m sure it will work just as well with other brands without colouring the amps natural tone. £63 from Amazon, it sure beats the thousands some are prepared to spend on a certain pedal.Give it a try I’m sure you’ll not be disappointed

SD-1
Anyone looking at this knows what the SD-1 is all about. Great pedal. Different flavour of the ts sound with a little more versatility if you want to stack with another od/dis/fuzz. Thumbs up from me.

Guitar overdrive pedal
I bought the pedal after reading the reviews on line and also it's been around for a while. It's excellent and reasonably cheap and it's easy to setup and use.
