Great little sander with good power
Bought this to sand a freshly plastered wall. The wall had lots of lumps and bumps after the self plastering experience but this little guy made light weight of the task. It has a little dust bag on the back that collects the dust and does a good job. It’s powerful for it size comfortable to use and sands well. It does vibrate a lot and gives you a funny feel in your hands afterwards but I think they all might do. Lots of small bursts. Ensure you buy dust mask and eye protection

Only 1 sanding disc !! Great sander with patience 👍
This is a good, very effective random orbit sander. Ergonomic and lightweight, it makes sanding of doors, my initial use, fairly straight forward. You do need patience though especially sanding paint off doors in order to get to the wood. Perhaps it needs to be a tad faster ? Furthermore, the dust extractor actually does an ok job. Note that it doesn’t remove all dust, far from it so I would advise wearing a mask, although that doesn’t help stop dust getting onto glasses as I encountered. The Velcro sanding disk is actually easy to fit, just make sure to align the holes which is straight forward using the naked eye. Surprisingly and disappointingly only 1 sanding disk was supplied. Whilst i wasn’t expecting lots, I was expecting/hoping to receive at least 2 or 3 albeit each of variable grit.In the context of the price that I paid - £33.38, I haven’t knocked off a star off my review, although I very easily could have done considering dust capture and even sanding speed. As always, I will update my review if I find any issues or encounter any problems.

Very good, I think
I bought this to sand down a dining table, 8 chairs, a coffee table and a large tv unit. Never owned an orbital sander before, but went for Bosch as I have a Bosch drill that is very good. This was very effective and gave a nice finish with the supplied sanding disc. Seemed to be as effective as a far more expensive makita we started the job with.Light, easy to use with one hand and small enough to do some bits the makita couldn't.Dust collection is poor though, I reckon it collected less than half the dust. When I had to change the disc, the ones I used were awful, but I suspect that was the paper rather than the sander.

Great Peice of Kit
I wish i'd bought this sooner.I've used this numerous times now for general DIY tasks and found it perfect for for prepping and smoothing off areas prior to decorating. I've used it on both wood and painted walls with great results. The item is lightweight and can easily be operated with only one hand and fits in your palm nicely so feels comfortable to hold.It has a filter and small dust collector on it but no matter how careful you are with it you will still get dust everywhere so it would still be wise to wear a mask when using.Would definitely recommend this especially if you know you will get a few uses out of it. Worth the investment.

Great product
Great product. I have done so much manual hand sanding over the years (as a DIYer)...doors, skirting boards, window shelfs etc, so wish I had gone this sooner. Its effortless. So easy to change the sanding pads - lots of different ones available. So quick and easy to sand - leaves a perfect surface in seconds. I have used on painted wooden surfaces and walls (for polyfilla etc). The dust collection is ok, but not great - it does release a fine cloud of dust into the air / across the room, so you will still need to put down sheets or clean up after.Overall I recommend this product.

Usual Bosch high standard
I bought this principally to do sanding on some kitchen cutting boards I was making. I have a selection of Bosch tools already and when I spotted this on offer, it was a quick decision.Despite what another review says, this DOES have a soft start. That means you can place it on the material being sanded and then turn it on. Much better than turning it on and then placing it on the material as this offer a real risk of immediate jumping and swirl marks. You just need to let it do it's job. Don't apply any more pressure than is necessary to stop it wandering around, take it slow and easy and, if sanding wood, work along the grain. The risk of trying to hurry things and / or applying too much downward pressure is the dreaded swirl marks that are then a real pain to get rid of.It isn't over noisy, and the vibration is perfectly acceptable. It's comfortable to hold. The dust collection box is very good. I was pretty surprised when I saw how much sawdust came out of it after I'd finished my work which, in this case (for the cutting board project) involved multiple sanding with various grit sandpaper, starting at 80 and finishing at 240. The result is a surface that is unbelievably smooth.I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Does exactly what it says
Doing up a two bedroom flat and I find myself filling lots of holes in the walls and needing to paint doors and skirting boards. I started off with one of those spongey sanding blocks but soon found it tiring so I invested in this little Bosch orbital sander and a box of 100 sanding disks.Talk about easy and effective! Leveling the filler on the walls became an absolute doddle. Smoothing and prepping the woodwork was also simplicity itself, just a matter of choosing the correct grade sanding pads. Attaching the pads using this velcro system is straightforward and the pads don't budge during use. The unit is small and very easy to guide it and apply the right amount of pressure. The dust collector isn't hugely effective but I have a Henry for clearing up. Also it's a bit noisy but that's the nature of power tools.Overall I'm really pleased. The results are great and it represents good value for money.
