Region Free DVD player
Swift delivery of an excellent region free dvd player. We had found several of our older dvds that played on our old dvd player didn't play on our newer player as they were the wrong region. We looked for a region free player and discovered lots of machines that came up under region free were actually in the small print region locked. After much searching we found this delightful machine. It states it was region free and it arrived very quickly. Its a small unit comes with a remote and is easy to use. Picture quality and sound is great if not better than our old one.Now we can watch any movie regardless of region. Would definetely buy again from this supplier and would recommend this product

Does All It Needs To (Well)
I'm not a big watcher of DVDs, occasional rather than regular, and this meets all my needs at a very good price. Because I'm not constantly watching DVDs, I wanted one that did the job of playing them, which this one does, with a remote to give loads of control when you are watching. The door struck me as being a tad flimsy when I first saw it but, of course, the remote puts it out and back in again, so you don't need to touch it, just pop the disk in and away you go. Perfectly practical! Picture quality seems excellent to me plus it plays all my disks, including ones I've made myself from a Freeview recorder/dubber that this is partly to replace (the disk playing function, that is). Homemade disks no problem here. One big consideration for me was the size of its footprint (as they say) and this is a machine about half the size of the normal DVD players, so it sits beside the new Freeview box rather than on top where it might cause heat problems. It doesn't take up any more room than it needs to function, and it functions well too. As a low user, I didn't want to fork out a huge amount and this was almost a steal at the price. It will probably do far more than I've ever found out, seeing I generally only want to bung in a disk (very often Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes) when TV has nothing to offer. In short: Size perfect; Quality of picture excellent (for a non-specialist); Ease of Use, well, even I could use it as soon as I'd plugged it in so that's pretty high praise. At this price you can't go wrong! Highly recommended indeed.

Exellent multi-zone DVD player
Well guy's I have to say I was pretty impressed with this DVD player considering the price which was under £40. It worked straight out of the box, playing my US dvd's with no issues. The colour definition was very good, and I actually found the unit was fairly quite, despite what other reviewers have stated.I'm playing it though my Pioneer home cinema system with no issues regarding sound. There is just one small niggle, and that would be the remote, which I have to say is a bit of a let down. The remote has to be quite close to the player to work which is frustrating andIt would benefit from a simpler layout, the thing is sea of buttons which could be reorganized to a more ergonomic/user friendly set up.

Great Value, Well-Specified - and Easy to Set Up and Use
Denver DVH-7784 Small Multi Region DVD Player with 1080p Upscaling, HDMI and USB• Picture quality – excellent on my 24" TV• Small: yes; and lightweight, too.(Tip: 4 bits of Blu Tack underneath keep the unit in place when inserting and removing discs)• The remote is perfectly adequate. Its InfraRed operating angle struck me at first as narrow-ish, for which I have since made allowance.• The disc tray doesn't strike me as overly robust: I treat it with due care.• Multi-region capability: as yet untested• Mechanical noise (some) during playback of discs is noticeable• On-screen menus are straightforward and adequate for my needs. Setting-up was ultra easy. Printed instruction manual (enclosed) is concise and covers all controls comprehensively – although specs are seemingly absent. Range of video outputs is accessed through the on-screen menu.• Power lead with UK 3-pin plug comes attached to the player - it is not detachable.• Toslink digital output of sound goes straight into our hifi. Cds sound great.DVD sound using this routing did give rise to sync problems in some cases - the sound was being processed via Toslink and our hifi before the image was rendered, via hdmi, on TV. My work-around is to output sound from the TV into the hifi: sync problem has disappeared.Overall, I am most happy with my purchase – tremendous value.

Bargain but remote control buttons are very small
Nothing fancy to look at. It's quite small, so if you don't have a lot of space then that helps. It certainly worked find when it came out of the box and very quick to set up. Remote control buttons are very small so I returned the whole unit. Overall there is nothing wrong with the unit and certainly a good bargain for under £40

Great dvd player
I was concerned to read reviews that said the remote was too small and that you had to go in close to use the remote. Having only used it for the day personally I think the remote is a good size and I have no problems operating the device from the sofa a good distance away. It does need direct sight of the sensor so don’t go trying to use the remote round corners. All in all I think it’s a fantastic multi region DVD player and I’m delighted with my purchase. A few weeks on and I’m still delighted it’s a good player.

Rubbish!
This product is a pile of junk. All arrived fine, very noisy when the DVD is first put in (as others have said) but fine once it starts playing the movie. However the first couple of times it took two attempts before the movie would start playing. Then the third time we wanted to get to near the end of the disc. Tried fast forwarding on x32. It coped with that for about 30 seconds but then froze. Restarted it and tried again. Same result. Then tried fast forwarding it scene by scene. It froze again. Tried again with another disc just to check, and the result was the same. Rubbish. It's going back.
