Great DIYer Chalk Line
Good product for a great price - carrying out an extension and needed this to transfer metre datum and set up first floor wall plates. Then had to use for timber noggins to ceiling and suspended floor, and am currently using for setting out the T&G - string seems string and hasn't broken once, doesn't feel as solid as the metal bodied ones but at this price if it lasts till extension is complete Ill be very happy. Probably not ideal for consistent use but for a DIYer this is perfect

Great product
How I have ever managed without this product before I do not know. I’m a professional painter and decorator and have found this a life saving product. You have to make sure that the product is totally filled up with chalk before using and I mean totally filled up. Absolutely brilliant tool for decorating ceilings, when you need a plumb line. Once filled very easy to use. My only criticism is that for non professionals, there are no instructions in English and it doesn’t explain how to attach the mini spirit level which is included

DIY essential
If you're building a deck, laying a patio, or attaching something to an exterior wall, this chalk line is invaluable. It makes marking out so much quicker. The included bubble level which hangs from the string is great for lines on vertical surfaces.

Works well (once the chalk is properly embedded) and blue gives good contrast.
Takes quite a while and quite a bit of use before the chalk is properly embedded in the line (none comes in the line when shipped) but it works well after that. The blue gives a better contrast on timber and brick than the red I've used previously.
