Reliable and affordable DVD-R discs.
I've been using Maxell DVD-R discs for years, and they continue to impress me. These discs are a cost-effective alternative to more expensive brands, yet they maintain excellent quality and performance. They burn smoothly and reliably, making them a dependable choice for all my media storage needs. These particular Maxell DVD-Rs are write-once discs, with a storage capacity of 4.7GB or 120 minutes. This is perfect for various uses, from storing software and music to creating data backups. The discs support up to 16x recording speed, which is fantastic if your burner can handle it. This higher speed saves time and improves efficiency, especially for larger files. The discs are highly reliable and durable, consistent with Maxell's reputation. In the countless times I've used these discs, I've rarely encountered verification failures, and those that did occur were likely due to the burning software rather than the discs themselves. I use these for multiple purposes, including software, music, and data backups, and they perform flawlessly every time.At their current price, a pack of 100 discs is an incredible value for money. You get high-quality discs at a fraction of the cost of other brands. The only slight drawback is that the discs don't come with a plastic case and spindle, which makes storage a bit more cumbersome. However, they aren't advertised as including these, so it's not really a fault of Maxell. The overall value and quality far outweigh this minor inconvenience. The delivery was prompt, and the packaging was secure, ensuring the discs arrived in perfect condition. I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. For anyone needing reliable, high-quality DVD-R discs at an affordable price, I highly recommend these Maxell discs. They offer exceptional performance and value. Very happy with my purchase and will continue to use Maxell for all my disc-burning needs.Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope that you found it helpful and that it assists you in your decision-making. I try to be as honest and fair as possible, as those have always been the reviews that helped me the most.

Had an odd compatibillity issue.
I had an odd compatibility issue with these disks. I'm using Windows DVD maker (Windows 7 version) to burn lots of copies of a slide show with music. On the disks I was using before these it worked every time. I'd burnt dozens over a period, from the odd two or three to 15 or more at a time and never had a failure.Doing exactly the same thing with these caused the program to fail. And not gracefully with a message. It would either hang or just close itself down. Each time leaving me with a useless coaster.I was about to return them when I decided to try a different program. I used the LG burner software that came with the PC to duplicate one of the existing disks; rather than build the DVD from scratch each time I ran DVD Maker; and it worked perfectly. No coasters and the DVDs performed flawlessly in a variety of DVD players. Very odd.The disks don't come on a plastic spindle like you might expect, they're just loose. A minor issue, I just put them on an old spindle.
