Razor
Better than expected, gives a really close shave, without risk of shredding your face with an open razor.Only issue was mirror was broken on delivery, butitis too small to be of any use anyway.Would suggest using shaving soap and brush, better shave than shaving hell or foam.Best benefit is the blades are cheap and available everywhere, unlike new wet razors where the razor can be cheap but replacement blades cost a fortune.

Shave down the price of shaving the traditional way!
This is a great little razor at a great price, I originally bought this because I got fed up buying rubbish disposable razors and I would highly recommend it to all men. Of course you could buy multiblade expensive popular to this more traditional razor, but this type of razor saves you money in the long run and once you try it you will never look back. The biggest bonus is its much less expensive blades joint with much closer more comfortable shave. This razor has a small handle but it is compact and comes in a hard case with a small shaving mirror. This is really handy when shaving especially when I go traveling. This fits perfectly inside my wash bag and has everything I need to carry out a low maintenance easy shave. The razor is comfortable to use (about 4" total razor length). The weight is good and balanced which makes it a good razor for anyone from a regular shaver or a novice as well. Shave is non aggressive and close.I really like this product and and highly recommend it. A good shave and good value for money. It doesnt come with blades but they are fairly cheap on the market and easy to fit.Fitting the blade is simple, just turn the screw at the top of the handle, the connection comes off in two sections, simply place the blade inside these two sections and screw it back. It really does take seconds. This item looks expensive, it has a shiney chrome finish as you can see from my photos.Overall this is a great razor at a great price, I would highly recommend for a clean shave or people who like to shape there beard. The case is brilliant with a very handy mirror. Highly recommended to all men with differing facial hair.

You get what you pay for – you'll have to work hard to make the low price give you good value for money!
This bargain basement safety razor appears under many different brand names at higher prices. It's extremely basic and needs to be handled with care and respect to protect the screw thread from failing, and when in use, to prevent the user from being sliced to ribbons! If you come to it from a cartridge razor (or an electric shaver) it's worth watching some YouTube tutorials. Blade angle is everything and you will almost certainly need to hold this razor at a different angle to what you have been used to. I'd also recommend using a property shaving soap or cream applied with a brush (and not the thick gel/gunk from an aerosol can).My first shave with this, using Derby Extra blades, was a bloody affair with multiple nicks. Day two, using Astra Superior Platinum was nick free but I experienced shave burns. That said, I did get a very close shave – way better than with a cartridge type razor. And with good technique it dealt comfortably with my problem spots of awkward grain on my neck and jaw line.So this is a pretty unforgiving instrument and probably a good starter because it insists on you shaving deliberately using good technique. If you're tempted to try one, add a styptic pencil to your basket too because you'll need it!However, if you want an easier wet shaving learning curve then consider spending more on a razor from a respected brand like Parker, Merkur, Muehle or Edwin Jagger. You'll probably enjoy the higher quality more and find it easier to progress. Let's face it, no-one will keep a Hacktan for long so the old adage of 'buy cheap, pay twice' almost certainly holds here.
