Q: Could you set the working temperature for this machine?

The working temperature is set by adjusting the temperature control dial. This is then maintained until it is turned off. The timer is for the ultrasonic only. When the timer expires and turns off the ultrasonic the heating remains on until you turn down the temperature dial or turn off the machines main switch. I've seen some reviewers complaining that that machine gets warm / hot when they have not switched on the heater. Well, of course it will! The ultrasonic generator uses power and this makes heat! Ignore their lower ratings as they simply don't understand how things work. This has worked very well and has great cleaning results and I would recommend it. The only thing I would have preferred is the drain tap like on the larger models but it was my choice to buy this one so cannot mark it down for it.

Q: should the heater power button come on?

Yes you set the temperature using the Temp+ and Temp- buttons . You then press the heater on/off button, if the temperature of the liquid in the bath is lower than the set point the heater will come on and the "heater on" green led will ignite.

Q: Can you use it to clean resin from a 3d printed object?

Yes,if the resin is washable,then you can use it to clean resin object

Q: How effective is this machine for trying to repair water damage mobiles?

Whilst i have no experience of repairing mobiles i wouldn't have thought this machine would help as it uses water to clean - you immerse the item in water and then use the micro bubbles its generates in the water to clean it.
