PA-28 Cherokee: A Pilot's Guide

I previously owned a similar book (Cessna 152) and loved it, so I bought this one too. If you are a NEW Pilot, or just new at flying Pipers, this is a book that you should read. It starts with a brief history and a very thorough description of the aircraft, helping you become familiar with all aspects of it. The chapters are well divided and it has a very detailed explanation of all different systems, including electrical, performance, mechanical, structural, etc. It is NO REPLACEMENT for a POH, but really good reading if you want to know everything that you need to know about the aircraft. I highly recommended, specially if you are a Student Pilot.

Nothing new in this book It’s like they took stuff right out of the POA and out of the few things that don’t matter anyway it is a nice looking bookHowever Certainly not worth 14 bucks

This booklet covers mainly the fixed gear powered by the 150 and 180 HP engines with most of the info relevant to the other Cherokees. It includes loading and performance charts as the original POH does, but expands on information not found there. I wish the original POH for this aircraft was as informative as this book. Just the existance of this type booklet by ASA is telling as to what is lacking in the Cherokee POH. The book states it is not a replacement for the original handbook. I feel it is good supplement.

This is a great reference manual for the Cherokee 140 & 180. It provides pertinent information for anyone learning to fly this aircraft. I recommend it as a refresher for everyone else as well.

Pretty well written but oddly organized

If your a Cherokee Pilot this is a neat little book to keep on hand.

Great supplement to the POHGives a perspective of a experienced Cherokee driver some things to note that you won't find in the POH

Gut beschrieben. Für alle die sich zum ersten Mal in eine Cherokee setzen.Oder nochmals sich mit der Maschine beschäftigen wollen.

Hallo zusammenDas Buch ist ganz nett gemacht, leider ist der Inhalt unvollständig z.B. fehlt komplett die PA28-160.Zu dem wird auf besondere Fluglagen wie Slip gar nicht eingegangen und die Tipps die es gibt stehen im Internet bzw. dort gibt es Qualitativ bessere Tipps zum Start und Landung.Es wäre besser der Herr Pratt hätte sich auf ein paar Muster beschränkt und nicht Bücher zu 270 Maschinen geschrieben.Fazit: nicht zu gebrauchen für meine PA28-160GrüßeTW
