The ideal popcorn maker that ticks all the boxes. Initially hesitant about the price, but totally worth it.
OK I bought one for myself in a shop and loved it so much I bought one online for my mum and sister. I wasn't sure I could justify the price initially, but it's totally worth it (popcorn is my go-to snack!). Pros: SO easy to use. Just pour in the popcorn, pop the lid on lightly and then in the microwave for 3 minutes. I usually pour in a tiny bit of coconut or olive oil, or a vegan butter with the kernels so that the seasoning sticks (usually just a bit of salt). Less washing up to do - as you eat from the same bowl you cooked the popcorn in, you don't have pans and bowls you need to wash afterwards. Less packaging to waste - no more paper and cardboard waste from microwave popcorn! Healthier - you know what you're putting in, none of this chemical stuff that they put in packets of microwave popcorn, and you can add healthy oils to get a good bit of essential fat into your diet, but if you want to keep the calories low, they pop nicely with just the steam. Beautiful, fluffy popcorn. I always struggled to get the same kind of popcorn when making it in the pan, so this is ideal. Super tasty and light. If there are some kernels leftover that didn't pop, you can usually pop them successfully the second time round - no more waste! Folds away neatly and takes up less room in the kitchen. Cons: Because it folds away, it's a bit flimsy and washing it is a bit annoying - but you get used to it and find a way around it. I usually fold it down and wash it that way, as it's sturdier, or I kind of turn it on its side and rotate it as I wash.

Great one!
The regular size fits perfectly in my microwave and makes popcorn in 3 minute. I don't like oil just as it and pop nearly all corns. Plus it works as a bowl. No smell or aftertaste of silicone at all. I haven't any problem with burnt popcorn as soon as I listen to stop to pop I take it off from microwave.

Quick, easy and delicious popcorn with no oil needed
I was skeptical but very pleasantly surprised! I considered the electronic air poppers but didn't really want another kitchen appliance taking up space. I have tried the stovetop kind (WhirleyPop) and these work great with oil, but I'd rather avoid oil to save calories. Anyway, the popper is great. You just measure out the popcorn kernels into the bowl, add the lid and stick it in the microwave for 2-4 minutes. You have to pay close attention or it will burn quite easily. Almost all of the kernals pop and the popcorn is light and crispy. I would give it 5 stars but I think the price is high for what it is. I used "Love Life Popcorn Maize" from Waitrose (510g for £1.99).

Simply Brilliant
This simple item has been a revolution to me - so fuss-free compared to the hob which can be hit and miss, and no chance of technical glitches like many complain of when buying the popcorn machines. Comes in a lovely box which you can keep for storage, along with a recipe booklet. Makes perfect popcorn every time if you get the timing just right after one or two tries - I have a 750w microwave and find 2:40mins is perfect, any longer and the popcorn gets a slightly singed smell (which is how you know you're over cooking it). I also find it tastes much better with a dollop of extra virgin olive oil. Yes there are a few seeds left over always, but same goes for using the hob and machines so I don't see this as a problem - especially since popcorn is so cheap. No idea why people would buy ready-made flavoured popcorn or the machines when it can so easily be made at home using this. I can totally recommend.

Perfect for quick and easy popcorn
I was sceptical based on the mixture of reviews, but this is definitely the option for me. Took a little bit to figure out exactly the right timing for my microwave, but the fact I can put either butter or oil into the container, pop and pour suits me perfectly... Popcorn is always light and crispy and once you get the timing right its always perfectly done. Easy storage too - just didn't have the space for an air popper, already had too many other appliances. Like other reviews, I just couldn't get it right in a glass bowl or other container, this is made for the purpose albeit a little expensive for what it is... Goes through the dishwasher perfectly as well.

Mess!
It makes a big mess in the microwave don’t know why. I cooked it for three minutes and popcorn was burnt then I tried two minutes that was better in a 800 microwave. But if you don’t mind cleaning up the miss the popcorn taste nice.

Well made device and easy to use
Used twice so far, and no issues. Just needs a small amount of popping corn at the bottom (50g to 100g) and no need for oil or anything else (although a spoon of oil would be required for salt or sugar to stick to the corn). I put it in the microwave oven for 2.5 to 3 min (at 1000w power), and pretty much all corn pops. Transparent lids does not rest on the top, but in the middle, and comes up progressively, being pushed by the popcorn. Easy to clean, and no smell of silicon once cleaned. I like the fact that it can be stored away collapsed, only taking a third of the vertical space.

Works everytime but steam build up can be a problem
It works every time and I don't even have to use any oil for the popcorns. Nice and healthy. It takes 3 minutes 20 seconds for 70 gram to pop using 1000W microwave. As soon as popping is less than one per 2 seconds, I stop it. It can burn the popcorns very easily so watch out. Easy to clean as it is round. Only one problem: the lid should have some tiny holes to allow the steam escape. If you use over 50 gram of popcorn, the steam is enough to dampen some of the popcorns. Some of the steam escapes from around the lid but still not enough. I am still thinking how I can makes small holes in the lid as it will not be easy.
