Very good torch for those who want a little more
My job as a park warden required a decent torch that was compact, rugged, water and shockproof, multi-functioning and easy to use. This torch ticks all the boxes and I am still using it 18 months later. It fits nice in the hand, the different brightness levels are excellent and really intuitive to use, and the red LED is an added bonus for not wanting to destroy night vision! The wrist sling, carry pouch and belt clip are all high quality also.Overall, the torch is a lot more than most people would want to pay for "a torch", but if you need it for a specific purpose, job or simply want an item which is going to last you no matter what, it's worth the price. 10/10

Ten light modes, including red, and flexible battery use (AA and 14500). All to a resonable price. Very fast shipping to Sweden, ordered on Friday and got it on Monday.

Small flashlight...big illumination...
Don't let the small footprint (just 4.25" in length) fool you. The XM-l2 UED flashlight performs out of all proportion to its modest size. This performance comes from the combined package of construction quality, illumination and features. The metal case is machined with anti-roll flat surfaces and knurled bands to increase grip. The illumination is outstanding, with a step-through of five white lighting levels and a red light (the latter is useful when doing tripod photography outdoors at night....or any other situation where you want to protect your night vision). In addition, it offers four white strobe modes: constant strobe, intermittent flash (approximately every three seconds), SOS flash and a red flashing mode.Power is via the included rechargeable IMR 14500 640 mAh Li-ion battery (charger *not* included) or a standard AA battery (expect much shorter use life when using an alkaline battery).Accessories include an extra O ring, a lanyard, a pocket clip and carrying case. But don't select this for the accessories; select it for the quality of construction and the versatility of the illumination options. This costs more than many similar-looking flashlights, and you'll have to decide for yourself if you want to spend this much. For me, it earns every penny of its purchase price.Note: this item provided for review purposes.

A (nearly) perfect flashaholic's EDC
Has become my goto EDC flashlight on the day of receipt. I'm implementing a plan to downsize to a 14500 battery from 18650. A smaller and/or lighter carry but bright enough for EDC. Much shorter battery life but has the benefit of fallback to readily available AA in an emergency. I also own a Nitecore EC21, a 18650 powered flashlight the same length and head diameter as the MT10A but has side-switch activation. I have always considered side-switch activation to be vulnerable to inadvertent operation. The MT10A has a forward clicky tail-switch. Perfect.Get the outputs from the specs, but 1 lumen minimum, 920 lumens maximum on 14500. Reasonably intuitive mode selection using the two side-switches. I have stuck a silicone bumpon on the flat below the switch to aid side-switch location in the dark. One thing I have noticed after a day's testing, on 14500 battery there is a huge output jump from 1 to 70 Lumens. (only 1 to 17 on AA). That's disappointingly high as the first non "moonlight" output. Loses a star.
