These are really worth the money when your lights go out for 18 hours for instance.
We have these all over the house and they are very handy as you can walk down the hallway at night and not worry about flipping the main lights on. They come by themselves with motion. The best part is when you lose power, they light up and help you get around. Also you can take them out of the wall and use them as a reading light or flashlight. They have these two modes as well. Highly recommended. A bit expensive but I have had Sunbeam lights like this from Costco many years ago and they still work like a charm and I need them to work in an emergency.

I love the flashlight option. It came on time and the motion detection works great. I will use this for when we are traveling in hotel rooms, RV and possibly cruise ship. I'm pretty sure they will allow it, but I will have to check on that one.

Motion sensor not as strong
The only reason that I'm taking a star off is that the previous model of these sunbeam night lights had a better motion sensor than these ones! Sometimes I feel like I'm already past it and down the hall before it kicks on. Other than that they work great and we love the flashlight portion for when the power goes out!

Practical, fun, and perfect for emergency lighting!
I love these lights so much that I have actually bought two sets of three. Not only are they extremely practical for hallways or bathrooms at night, but they also do have the emergency function of turning white light on automatically if you lose power. We tend to do so a lot and these have been wonderful! Also, they serve an alternative purpose of being a calming LED light of whatever color you choose. I do not go on vacation without bringing two of these with me anymore as we tend to vacation in the mountains and power it's not always a guarantee! I don't feel they are too bright at all nor are they too dim, they are just perfect! I ordered both my sets at a discount because I don't think people understand that they only turn colors when it is plugged into the wall. Seeing as how the instructions were not part of the package opened, that is my only guess!
