**Q: what is the size of the axe head?**
A: Blade is 4" (10cm) wide. Head is 6 1/2" (16.5cm) long. Maximum head thickness 1 1/2" (4cm). Overall length 28" (71cm).

**Q: Can it be used to chop down tree's**
A: Well yes one could definitely chop down trees with it but obviously depending on width of the Trunk..So for Apple,Plum Hawthorn etc I guess would be ideal.. Just a note to say I had to put a better edge on mine and Works really well now..I recently cut up a few Old stubs of trees and cut through like Butter

**Q: Does this come ready to use or do I need to get it sharpened**
A: This axe is supplied ready to use with a a protective cover along the blade.

**Q: Mines says ‘do not strike’ on the back of the head, along with another warning sticker saying don’t do it. Why can’t I hammer the back?**
A: The reason is: Axe heads and hammers heads are both made of hardened metal in compliance with the relevant standards. You should never hit two hardened surfaces together because one might shatter.
