Shimano PD-M324 // SPD Pedal (im Karton)

These pedals are ideal for cyclists who want the convenience of a flat pedal (that can also be fitted with a third-party toe clip) for use around town or with non-cleated shoes, combined with an SPD pedal that allows for cleated cycling shoes for more serious rides. The flat side of the pedal also has plenty of grip/contact points, meaning that when used with non-cleated, everyday shoes, the shoes don't slip. Well-made, per most Shimano products, sturdy, and not too heavy. Decent value for those looking for convenience and versatility. They also look good on the bike, in a mixed brushed and polished finish. Note that half toe-clips catch on the ground when the SPD side of the pedal is being used, making them slightly less versatile as a combination. This was the case on a gravel bike with 172.5mm cranks.

These are my first foray into the clip on pedal world and they're a great pair for a novice! I bought them specifically because they are double sided and I wanted the flexibility of being able to jump on the bike wearing my trainers on if I wanted to pop down the shops etc. But...... since I bought them I've only used them with cycling shoes because it's so much easier. I've now done about 700 miles on the bike since I bought these. I ride a hybrid mountain bike and the majority of my cycling is done on the road or cycle paths, the pedals are solid and sturdily built but quite big in comparison to lots of other versions out there (again though I chose this size deliberatly). Clipping in and out the pedal is really easy once you get the hang of it, they are tensioned perfectly and haven't need adjusting since they were fitted. Couple of things things to note if like me you've never used SPD pedals before.... 1) It will take your legs a while to get accustomed to the new and better cycling position, they will ache a bit first though! 2)You will at some point forget you're clipped in and fall over (I can't say fall off because you will most definitely still be attached to the bike) if you can practice getting on and off the pedals, you need to master that technique to avoid embarrassment! All in all, great beginner pedals at a great price and really well engineered. Seen a few people asking, so just to confirm, pedals come with cleats in the box.

I have little to compare these too, except the Brompton pedals they have replaced, and the Look pedals that I used over 25 years ago. Compared to the Brompton pedals, these are heavier, as the outers are not aluminium, so if you're trying to save weight, you are not going to. Also, you will lose the ability to fold the left pedal. However, the efficiencies totally outweigh this feature for someone that doesn't take his bike on the tube/train very often. However, compared to my memory of the Look pedals that I had all those years ago, is that they're a little more difficult to get your foot out, and don't necessarily provide quite the same efficiency. But they do let you use them without having cleated shoes, without difficulty. For commuting, these pedals are ideal. I went for some Giro shoes with a recess for the cleats, rather than a full road shoe, so both sides of this pedal work well. Riding without cleated shoes, it tends to be a 50-50 chance that when I stick my food on the pedal, I'll get the SPD side, but when riding with cleated shoes, I tend to take my foot off the left pedal near the ground, and the SPD side tends to stay up so that I can quickly click back in. It's only been a week with them, but so far, I'm pretty happy. Maybe I've ruined my Brompton a bit, but with cleated shoes, everything is more efficient, even with the extra weight. In traffic, is easy to unclip, and use the other side of the pedal instead. Maybe not quite the same as I remember the Look pedals, but I'm happy all the same. Update: They're not necessarily the best quality. After about 1000km or so, already getting a little clicky. Also, for longer rides, I'd probably go with larger cleats, like Look or SPD-SL that spread the pressure out a little more. But as a commuter pedal that gives you the option of not using cleated shoes, I'm still pretty happy with them, although annoyed with the clicking.

I've had this for a couple of months now and so far, so good. The pedals are easy to fit (no spanner with the pedal) and finding the clip side (and the flat side) is easy as the pedals don't spin around very quickly) - this is my first clip-less pedal and am pleased I went for this 'dual' option - it is very useful to have the ability to cycle with normal shoes on. Release system is very good, highly recommend that you put it to the easy (quick to release) position first. The flat (non clip/SPD) side isn't large (I'm a UK size 9/43 EU) - so for those of you wanting to use this for mountain biking without cycling shoes you may want to think again - but is fine for urban riding / long distance on roads or cycle paths. They feel high quality, but like I said - this is my first foray into clipless pedals.

Son mis primeros pedales semiautomáticos y la verdad es que no creo que haya podido elegir mejor. Traen sus propias calas que se acoplan perfectamente a unas zapatillas que no son shimano. Tienen regulación para poder poner y quitar las zapatillas con más o menos trabajo, según las circunstancias de cada uno. Al ser semiautomáticos los puedes usar con calas o zapatillas normales, o si la condición del terreno por la que circulas con la bici empeora, poder llevar los pies sueltos, lo cual te evita caídas desagradables. Yo me decanté por ellos, por las buenas opiniones que tenían de ellos compradores anteriores, así que yo, los recomiendo sinceramente, relación calidad precio insuperable.

Nach 8 Montaten und ca. 2700 km im Einsatz ringe ich mich endlich dazu durch, eine Rezension für die Shimano Pedale PD-M324 zu hinterlassen: Ich habe diese Klickpedale gekauft, da ich mein Rad (ein straßentaugliches Hardtail-MTB) sowohl im Alltag, bspw. für die Fahrt ins Büro, als auch sportlich im Gelände und für Marathon nutzen wollte. Die Pedale stellen einen optimalen Kompromiss für beide Verwendungsarten dar, da der Tausch der Pedale entfällt und man spontan die "Antriebsart" auswählen kann. Jeder kennt natürlich sein Nutzungsprofil am Besten. Für mich geht diese Hybridlösung voll in Ordnung, da ich nicht immer mit Wechselschuhen unterwegs sein will. Der Trainingseffekt ist beachtlich! ► Gewicht: Die Pedale sind sicherlich kein Leichtgewicht. Rennradfahrer mögen mäkeln (selbst wenn die Rad+Fahrer-Kombination die 100kg-Marke überschreitet). Mein Rad wiegt mit den Pedalen 11,45 statt 11,30 kg - damit kann ich leben. ► Lieferumfang: - Pedal PD-M324 links und rechts - zwei Cleats SM-SH56 ► Funktion: Montage sollte niemanden überfordern - Links- und Rechtsgewinde lassen sich eigentlich nicht verwechseln. Die Justage der Auslösekraft erfordert etwas Geduld und Experimentierfreude - das haben alle Klickpedale an sich. Mit einem Imbusschlüssel kann am M324 die Härte gut eingestellt werden, solange keine Reflektoren befestigt wurden. Die Einstellschraube ist durch Schraubensicherung (ein spezieller Kleber) vor unbeabsichtigter Änderung gesichert. Nach Montage der (nicht mitgelieferten) Reflektoren ist die Einstellschraube nicht mehr erreichbar. Daher empfehlen sich steckbare Reflektoren (und nicht die offerierten schraubbaren). Man sollte (generell) darauf achten, beidseits die selbe Auslösehärte einzustellen. Für das schnelle Einrasten benötigt man etwas Übung. Für mein Gefühl haben die Pedale etwas weniger "Führung" als Systeme der Mitbewerber. Nach einigen Fahrten hat man das richtige Gefühl für den korrekten Einrastpunkt. In einigen Rezensionen wird bemängelt, dass die Fahrer Probleme haben, die richtige Seite der Pedale zu finden. Hier wird meines Erachten auf hohem Niveau gejammert und dies berechtigt keinen Punktabzug. Zum Einen haben alle Hybridpedale dieses Problem, zum Anderen habe ich damit bislang wenig Probleme, da das Pedal - wenn es leicht bewegt wird - in die selbe Ausgangsposition pendelt. Mit Straßenschuhen drehe ich die Pedale zurück, mit Klickschuhen nach vorne. Mit den mitgelieferten Cleats werden hauptsächlich Anfänger bedient, da zum Ausrasten aus den Pedalen drei Möglichkeiten in Frage kommen: Entweder dreht man den Schuh (gewöhnlich) nach außen oder nach innen oder man zieht einfach in einer Zwischenposition stark nach hinten. Für meinen Geschmack ist man schneller ausgeklickt, als man es gebrauchen kann. Man kann sich durch eine höhere Auslösehärte behelfen oder andere Cleats an die Schuhe montieren. Dies muss jeder für sich selbst ermitteln. Die Straßenschuhseite entspricht fast dem Profil meines Standard-MTB-Pedals: Ein Metallkäfig mit leichter Zackenwölbung. Der Halt des Straßenschuhs wird maßgeblich von der Sohle des Schuhs bestimmt. Für ambitioniertes Fahren ist der Halt nicht immer ausreichend. Rutscht man aus, können die Wunden ziemlich tief sein. ► Preis/ Leistung: Für knapp 30 Euro bekommt man ein grundsolides Hybridpedal. Aus meiner Sicht ideal für Klicksystemeinsteiger. Gerade für MTB-Fahrer stellt dieses Pedal einen guten Kompromiss dar. Auf einer Downhillstrecke oder im Ausweichparkour ist der Respekt schon groß, die Schuhe nicht rechtzeitig ausgeklickt zu bekommen. Wenn es zu brenzlig wird, kann man einfach die Seite wechseln - auch während der Fahrt. Das hat mich schlussendlich überzeugt. In einer Rezension wird darüber philosophiert, dass man mit einem solchen Hybridpedal belächelt wird, weil es nicht "professionell" genug sei. Ich habe andere Erfahrungen gemacht: Viele MTB-Fahrer fahren entweder auch auf Hybridpedalsystemen (oft mit SH56-Cleats, wegen der geringeren Unfallgefahr) oder interessierten sich stark dafür, da die Vorteile überwiegen. Nur einige wenige Hardgesottene fahren reine Klicksysteme. ► Fazit: Wer bislang mit Klickpedalen liebäugelte, aber nicht vollständig auf Klickies umsteigen wollte, weil die Straßenschuhtauglichkeit des Rades verloren geht oder wer sich langsam einem Klicksystem anfreunden möchte, dem sei diese Hybridlösung nahegelegt. Die einzige Kritikpunkt (auch in anderen Rezensionen) ist das etwas höhere Gewicht. Ich kann dies an meinem Rad aber nicht subjektiv bemerken. Für mich überwiegt der Nutzen klar und ich würde mir diese Pedale wieder kaufen. Wer leichtere Pedale will, muss tiefer in die Tasche greifen anstatt über die M324 zu meckern.

RSSロードと同じ520ｍｍサイズ購入してサドルの高さを同じにするとｓｐｄ同じ物を付ける方が漕ぎやすく購入。 チョイノリのつもりが、真剣乗りになってしまった。サドルが低いとかえって乗りにくくなりますね。１３年前は５千円位でしたが値上げしてますね。アルミではないようですので付属のペダルより少し重く、小さくなります。でも使いやすいと思いますし、スニーカーでも使えるのでこのタイプが好みです。

Pedali fantastici. All'inizio si fa un po' di fatica a trovare la posizione giusta per inserire lo scarpino nell'attacco ma dopo pochissimo tempo, una volta capito il funzionamento, entrano praticamente da soli. Lo sgancio è semplice e rapido. Dopo un po' che li utilizzate noterete che diventa tutto molto semplice e immediato anche perché il meccanismo di attacco tende a slegarsi. È possibile regolare la tensione di attacco ma ho lasciato tutto di serie (a metà) e non penso andrò mai a modificarla se non magari quando dovessero lasciarsi andare un po' per l'utilizzo. Montati in 5 minuti per sostituire i pedali di serie della mia Rockrider 700. Ottimo acquisto. Più pesanti di quelli di serie ma non credo siano i 500gr a mandarvi fuori di testa. Sono anche molto belli esteticamente. Super soddisfatto poi shimano è sinonimo di qualità.
