This is a great product. Fitted with a thread size standard across (most) photographic equipment, this will almost certainly fit on your tripod. It should accept almost any mobile phone and hold it securely vertically, horizontally or anywhere in between if you think taking videos/photos at weird angles is creative. Would be very useful for groups on video calls for example.Four stars for Sturdiness because it's plastic - no other reason. Pretty robust plastic so you shouldn't have a problem. I like it, enjoy it, find it very useful and would recommend it.

Mobile phone holder for tripod, well made and versatile. Rubber grips hold phone securely without marking. Well recommended.

The mount is lightweight but solidly built and for tripod use it can work very well. I particularly like the clamping mechanism, which uses a long threaded bolt rather than a spring. This provides a genuinely fabulous way of clamping the phone securely.If your tripod is fully adjustable then you may be better by detaching the clamp from the stand and using the clamp's tripod bush directly. Indeed if the product were sold as just the clamp and with a bottom tripod insert (which would require a thicker bottom to accommodate), then I would regard this as the perfect mobile phone clamp, particularly if it had been made with metal.There are two downsides which may or may not affect your Use Case. 1) If you have a long phone then there is insufficient length in the stand to swing the phone vertically. 2) The width of the clamp is wide and whilst that might be a great feature for some phones, if you want to mount the clamp in the middle, for attachment to a gimbal for example, then the clamp is too wide for a Samsung s23 Ultra, where the clamp depresses the phone's power button.Overall this is well worth the money and if you are looking for a landscape orientated model, the clamp without the base is very nice indeed.

Good product as described

Lightweight, but pretty robust bearing in mind it is mostly a plastic frame. However all the camera threads are metal which I liked. Holds my S9 firmly, no fear of it falling out. I thought this was good value.

I've been using this with my smartphone for over two years without any issues.I previously tried a couple of spring-loaded stands but neither of them worked out for me. The first one broke and the other one wasn't very easy to fit my phone as the spring seemed too strong along with the cushioned base becoming unstuck.I've had no problems with this stand as it seems very sturdy and well-made. As I currently only use it for my smartphone, it just takes a few rotations of the screw to secure it to the stand and the same to subsequently remove it.I fixed it to a tripod base from one of those spring-loaded stands so my only minor criticism is that this doesn't come with one of those, or at least an option to include some kind of base to stand it on.
