Genisys left alot to be desired and didn't set the box office alight.But for what it was, I genuinely had fun with it and seeing Arnie return to the role was a dream come true.When NECA announced figures for the film, I was very excited. Not so much for the T-1000 (which I did purchase) but I had to have this Guardian T-800 figure!Whilst this figure features plenty of articulation, its clearly based on the moment in the film where Guardian confronts the original T-800.The first thing that will strike you about this figure, is that the likeness is just OK. its better in person and naturally an older Arnie, but its just not *quite* right. The nose is a little small and the jowls hanging a bit too much.Paint is minimal, mostly blacks and greys but the paintwork is OK. The hairline is a little sloppy in places.Sculpting on the outfit is perfect, the jacket looks spot on and even has the hood sculpted hanging on the back.Accessories are the real weak point. He comes with the shotgun only. when compared the the sheer quantity of T-1000's extras, its disappointing.Packaging is good and awful. Good, because its a window box meaning the figure can be taken out of, and returned to packaging with no damage whatsoever. Awful because the graphics and overall visuals on the packaging are ugly and do not represent the figure in the slightestIt sounds like I am being really harsh on this figure, but overall I really enjoyed it and appreciate owning it.It just feels like a budget or quick release from NECA. It could have been so much more.
