Amazon Basics USB 3.0 Cable, Type USB-A Male to Micro USB, 1.8 m, Black

I wanted a longer usb 3 cable, so I purchased the Amazon basic 1.8m version. I was quite surprised when it arrived as to the hefty weight of the cable itself. You could almost mistake it for a heavy duty hdmi lead.Upon being plugged in, i found it performs really well. transfer speeds went from 25mb per sec to 85mb. (read and write). I was really impressed with the cable quality and its ability to transfer data much quicker than the tiny one supplied with the unit I was using initially.Would recommend this as a good purchase.

Really brilliant wire! Does what it says, it is very sturdy and fits well into my seagate back up plus drive! Wish it was a bit more flexible but I am happy either way, that is works well. It is also a really good length! I would recommend to but this if you’re looking for a good replacement. A job well done amazon basics!

The cable is very sturdy and transfers data much faster, unlike the stock cable provided. Even at the shortest length provided it's quite long, standing at 3 feet long. It works perfectly with my WD Elements 1TB Portable Hard Drive. I'm not put off by the Amazon basics badge however I would've preferred a plain-badged cable.It doesn't fit in my neoprene official case however for use at home it's so much more convenient to have a faster, longer cable.The cable came in minimal packaging which is very nice. Only a small amount of packaging was binned.It appears to be high quality, and whilst I've only owned it for a couple of weeks I've used it almost exclusively.Thanks Amazon! This was my first Prime purchase, and I don't regret it.

You can pay a whole lot more for a brand name tether cable but why go to that expense when this does the job just as well. There's no real need to go to great expense. All it does is connects your camera to a computer so you can transfer images or tether your camera to Lightroom or similar. It may be cheap but this cable is no flimsy piece of cheap plastic.. It's tough and durable and does the job it was designed for. For all of us hobbyists on a budget it's just the job so why pay more? Well done Amazon Basics. Highly recommended.

I've recently been having trouble with a 5Tb HDD, and tried various laptops, desktops, Media players and my BluRay player but it does not work.... until I realised that it works perfectly fine... except for the USB cables supplied with it.After receiving this cable, I noticed how much stiffer it is, and not prone to kinking like the branded one I was replacing, noting that the branded one never felt as robust as this new one, These are great (I bought 2) and I'm happy once again.... not data loss and no big HDD replacement bill.

I've tried several different makers cables for my external drives, and there's always been some problem or other crop up, causing either slow data transfer, noise, or BSOD's in some cases. These are by far the best I've tried thus far. The thicker cable means no noise, and you can put them where you want them, and most of the time, they'll stay there. The plug ends are also thicker than the standard, so they tend to sit in the socket better, rather than the flimsy ones that move every time there's a lorry going past.I would recommend these to anyone with more than one external drive, and may need to move or swap them now and again.

Nice sturdy cable providing expected speeds and charging rate with some devices. Good length which was what I wanted primarily. I've had to order another cable from a different source though with a beveled end, to enable my mobile phone to be connected, as the Micro-B housing is much too 'fat' to get to the socket on my phone. I do have a fairly standard (not manufacturers) case on my phone and this cable just won't work. I'm disappointed with that.

Well, it does what it says on the tin so to speak. The packaging the product arrived in was simple and the cable itself feels well made and works no problem with the External USB HDD I connected it to. You generally can't go wrong with AmazonBasics cables: they tend to meet the specification and be of good quality. Sure, you could probably get a cheaper cable, but I wouldn't trust it to be as durable.

I have purchased a 9 foot cable for my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 @ Rs499. I was very happy about the cable quality, thickness and durability. I have already bought the same cable ( but 6 feet) three years back from amazon basic which is still working. Amazon delivery people in my area are not good , they never called me on the date the product was out for delivery, but late in the evening there is a update that " delivery is attempted and the courier was unable to contact the recipient to arrange delivery" even-though I am a Prime member of Amazon

開発作業でスタンドアロンで実施する作業にて、ISO イメージをネットワーク経由で使えないため、ZALMAN ZM-VE350に ISO イメージを放り込んでおき、仮想ドライブから利用する、といったことを行っているので、ZALMAN ZM-VE350 を固定して設置して、2.7m のこのケーブルで接続する開発機を切り替える運用をしています。2.7m ありますが、バスパワー動作についても特に問題ありませんし、業務使用なのでケーブルの丈夫さはかえって安心感があります。(確かに、ポータブル BD/DVD ドライブなどで短めのケーブルを使う場合は、ドライブ側がケーブルの固さで動いてしまうというのはあると思います)

Used it to connect an external HDD, worked at full USB 3.0 speeds and the cable seems reasonably solid.

I have 1TB external hard drive and the cable that came with the box stopped working. I badly wanted a cable under a decent price range and i came across Amazon Basics cable. I really didn't need a 3 foot long one, but it's the shortest length available in the AmazonBasic line of cables.I've bought lots of these Amazon Basics products as they do a great job in providing essential accessories at a decent price range and haven't had any bad experience because the quality of their products is really great at the price range.So now its my usual routine to first check Amazon Basics product line for any needful accessories. This new cable seems to do the job, so I'm happy with my purchase.+ve's:-1) The length of the cable is not a matter now, if you are looking for a long cable. You can choose from the three length options of- 3 feet- 6 feet- 9 feet2) No speed drops during any file transfers. Don't see any speed drops as compare to the cable that comes with the HD.3) Price is really decent as compared to the quality.Didn't find any -ve's so far and hence I'm skipping this section.AmazonBasics does a great job by providing essential accessories @ the best price and does the same job here. You can really depend on AmazonBasics.
