especially as this one also includes the audio input feature which is a nice addition.
I bought this adapter to allow me to connect a HP MicroServer to a monitor which does not have VGA-in. For just over a tenner, I wasn't expecting much, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The unit consists of a small box, with a male VGA plug on one end, which also tails off to a 3.5mm auto input jack, and a HDMI port at the other. There is also a micro USB port (cable provided) which provides power to the converter whilst in use (so bear this in mind that you'll need a USB port or a plug socket with USB adapter near to where you are locating the converter).I've not used the device with the HP MicroServer yet but I've just tried it with my HP Latitude laptop running Windows 10 and it works with zero effort at all. Simply plug the VGA cable, 3.5mm audio cable and the USB cable into your device, and a HDMI cable from the converter to a monitor/TV and it's plug and play all the way.The quality seemed to be exceptional considering it's doing on-the-fly analog to digital conversion of the VGA signal, I ran my laptop at full HD resolution and noticed no signal degradation or artefacts whilst in use.For the money, I don't think you can go far wrong with this if you need to convert an older VGA-only device to HDMI, especially as this one also includes the audio input feature which is a nice addition.

Worked perfectly
I recently replaced my two monitor setup with an ultrawide LG 34UM67 which, although brilliant, has had the unfortunate side effect of removing support for the old VGA standard. Because my HP Microserver needs VGA out I was on the hunt for a solution that would enable me to plug my server into my monitor as a secondary source in addition to my main desk which was plugged in via HDMI.Having tried a great deal of other adapters and converters all of which had to be returned as I was unable to get a signal to the monitor, I turned to the Patuoxun VGA to HDMI Adapter as a last resort before giving up. What do you know? It worked perfectly out of the box!Connecting the VGA adapter to the microserver utilising the VGA port and a USB port and then a standard HDMI cable from the adapter to the monitors secondary source this worked a charm. Key points are that this even functioned during the BIOS boot which was critical for use with the server and had no problems in Windows 10 at all. Probably worth confirming that I did not need to plug in the included mini jack cable for this to function which is just as well as the HP microserver has no sound card capability installed.Would highly recommend for how simple it was.

Impressive shizzle.
It started off really fuzzy and uncomfortable to look at the screen. I was gutted, thinking my solution of bringing my little Shuttle into use rather than my laptop was a failure. All the resolution settings in the world could not very a viewable image.Tbe PC did an update, and when it restarted I was blown away! The picture quality was spot on. Everything works brilliantly and I could not really be any happier. There is no lag whatsoever. Mouse and keyboard inputs are instant.I don't know about the sound though as I use bluetooth, but if the image quality is anything to go by, I'm sure it will be fine.I was very dubious about something so cheap doing the job of converting a VGA signal into an HDMI one, but I'm glad I took the punt.

Brilliant simple solution
Brilliant, simple way to connect stupid PC to large, eccentric telly. No instructions with kit but they are not needed. Just plug all the bits into the holes they fit. Would have had it all working in a couple of minutes if the so-called "Help" functions for PC and Telly actually gave you any help on setting up screens. Reduced to guesswork and scrolling through every category to find the right bits to set up. Succeeded nevertheless and v. pleased with result. If you want to display your PC on your telly this piece of kit is perfect. Buy it.

Does the job but does not necessarily work with all TVs, as one TV I tried it on did not support the output from the laptop - but this could possibly have happened with other setups. Not the most reassuring build quality, either: the USB power cable had the "up" symbol on the "down" side, and this has caught me out a few times.

The adapter arrived before the estimated date of arrival with the free delivery option. It is being used to provide a connection with a VGA output on a computer to an HDMI connection to a projector. It worked without a problem. In our system we don't use the sound connection through the HDMI so the jack is left unconnected and the adapter still works without a problem. Power for the adapter is from the USB connection so you need to make sure you have sufficient USB sockets on your computer. to run everything you need.

Worked OK, well worth the price
My Sonia Bravia Smart TV does not have ITV Player or 4OD, so I bought this to stream video and audio from my laptop. It does not come with any instructions and is a bit troublesome to set up. Eventually I got it working - the TV need 640x480 resolution (although the video fills the TV screen and is good definition. The other wrinkle is that when the device is plugged in the laptop screen goes to wallpaper without any icons and you have to control the laptop from the TV screen. A wireless mouse would be useful for this (I just ordered on from Amazon UK for 99p plus £1.25 shipping.Criticism? The cord from the VGA plug to the device is only about 7 inches so you will probably need to order an extension Male-to-Male HDMI extension cable to connect the device to your TV. Strangely the USB cable and the audio cable supplied with the device are both about 24 inches long. Go figure!I have had the device just one week and I have streamed about 4 or 5 hours of television with it.

just the job!!
this little unit worked out of the box. the audio side does work but i chose to use my existing sound system. the pc i use is very powerful and has a top quality graphics card which with this adapter sends the video out to a 33 inch lg tv. there is some slight 'fuzz' on very small writing but this is down to using a tv instead of a normal monitor.i use youtube a lot and there is no 'lag' at all using the vga to hdmi adapter. hope this helps anybody thinking of buying the converter.
