We ordered this book alongside the 10 minute test for the same Year 3 / Key Stage 2 Science topic.Both books represent the usual quality of CGP books, being well written, clear presentation and engaging. At this level questions are a mix of multiple choice and written answers for explaining reasoning.We personally got these for signing off on work we did with our Year 1 child last year as the topics covered is mostly the same as what we did as topics for that year, so if using it in this way base what year you purchase for on the ability of the child. These books will expand a little more than what we covered but not in such a way that it is too advanced or beyond what we've already taught. The level of text is above prior expectations so if your child needs it, they may need support with reading questions or keeping on task, but generally could probably be kept to themselves with it.This book is the targeted question book, and comes with mini quizzes at the end which is about the right level for year 3, but do note that these are not reference or study books. This includes tables for data referencing, written questions, labelling diagrams and multiple choice answers. The book is in an A4 size booklet so you are aware of size.This book also includes the answers, so be careful if leaving child alone with these... that they don't sneak to the back!Not an issue for the book itself, but when delivered it was posted in Amazons usual A3 letterbox sized envelope, it did not survive the posting well and bent in the middle - its not a huge issue just a shame that a brand new book was posted bent.

This book has all the material that you need to practice KS2 Year 3 science. All topics follow the national curriculum and can be completed in any order. These books help to consolidate what has been learned in the classroom. It uses effective questioning using practical everyday examples which help make it relevant and engaging for young students.These are targeted question books and students will need to know or have been taught the material first as there are no explanations about the topic itself.

Another handy book to have. But you have to order a textbook separately to make sense of the questions.Answers are handy and, in theory, you could use this book on its own, you just need to look things up to deliver the introduction of the topics in this book. There is glossary at the end, too.
