15mm Boat Cover Fitting Snap Fastener Stainless Canvas To Screw Press Kit

These are fasteners are the type you might apply to a piece of clothing, for example a coat or jacket, definitely NOT fit for purpose on a boat cover, the shafts are too short to pass through a thicker boat canvass or PVC cover material, or indeed other marine applications such as a boat carpet.

I used these to hold some curtain blackout lining I bought to hang behind the front seats in my van. The fabric is what I would think of as a fairly normal weight.These snap fasteners are ok but only just. The ones I've fitted in my van don't have the same level of positive connection that I've experienced before on boat covers and caravan awnings, and they don't hold my lining quite as firmly as I would have hoped. Whilst the product description does not say they are 'heavy duty', they are being sold as 'boat cover fastenings'...

Good that everything is boxed together to keep it neat and tidy. They are slightly smaller than the studs I needed so an alternative was ordered for one particular item I was working on. The tools are all included which is really helpful.

Product is of good quality, it is certainly ok for various fabrics, also thicker fabrics. I use it for my boat cover. After fitting, at first, they open a little easy, but after the weather sort of dries them out, they become strong enough for outdoor use. It would be a great idea if the product would come with some simple instructions, otherwise is might cost you a couple of fasteners before you get it right.

Used to replace missing catches in liner of portable hot tub. These were a little shallower but fastened soundly when engaged and have yet to come away. Very happy, saved a new liner purchase!

Only fit for v. narrow material - sadly it wasn't long enough to fit through the cloth I needed the press studs for.

Very good for what I needed. My boat I use quite regularly has a canvas hood and the buttons were missing. I used this to replace them all and they haven't let me down. I installed the buttons and they clamped perfectly and work every time. Perfect for me.
