What is the quickest way to set them up properly

I don't know a quick way .... we just stack them three by three!

How much does it weigh?

I am not sure as there is not a weight on it. I would guess 3kg+. I can lift it in the bag but it would be too heavy for a small child.

Does the individual blocks have any writing on them ?

No no writing. We had great fun with these however would advise adding wax to each block to help ease of slide.
